How do you macro changing to different classes like most of you seems to have done?

How do you macro changing to different classes like most of you seems to have done?

You can also macro them with a text command, but I can't remember if this will give you that job's icon or not:
/gs change # (where # is the number of the set you want to change to)

To do that you would have to write it like:
/micon Paladin classjob
/gs n
(where n is the value in your gearset listing that you desire)
Although I think that's a lot more time consuming and a waste of a slot for a custom macro.

I don;t think it gives you the gearset's icon by default. You may have to use /macroicon
I usually just use /micon too add skill icons to my gs macros

D'OH!!!! I've actually done that by mistake a number of times and had the mouse icon turn into the class icon but never realized I could attach it to a hotbar![]()

Alt and Ctrl are set as buttons on my mouse, so I can use them for skills without any crazy maneuvers. I have small hands, so this benefits me greatly. I put in the ` key to start all my hotbars because I thought it made sense. I'm pretty going to rebind all my marking keys to the F1-F5 keys. I haven't tanked in a while so I haven't worried about it much.
Bar 1 and 2 are pretty much their default, besides the addition of the ` key and a little bit of condensed positioning. Bar 3 stands to the top left at 60% sizing, I only want it there to see cooldowns and reconfirming effects in case I forget things. Bar 4 is my "I barely use these skills" bar, also for cooldowns like defensive cooldowns I want to save for certain things while tanking, I mouse click these, because I generally don't use the stuff on there often.
Skills are generally ordered by the level they're obtained. Because I hate having to deal with pressing skills I don't have while in low level instances.
Bar 6 through 10 are universal across all classes. Bar 5 is empty as well as Bar 8 (technically... I'm not using the stuff on it for anything). Bar 6 is the bar you see above my core stuff, to the top right at 60% size. Bar 7 is the vertical bar at the very right of my screen. Pretty much completely for chocobo related stuff, with Limit Break and Sprint put on there, and access to Armoury Chest because that's annoying to access normally. Bar's 9 and 10 are full of my gear sets, 9 for gathering/crafting and 10 for battle.

I tried my best to fit as many frequently-used objects onto the screen at one time (so I don't have to menu dance) while at the same time keeping the center of the screen clear so I can easily see what's going on around me. I have no complaints so far, though I must admit some objects are on the bars just to make them uniform.
Not pictured:
- Alliance groups are right below my party, just above the chat log. There's actually a fairly large gap that I've considered adding another chat box to.
- The enemy list is in that little space between the focus target bar and the duty list so it's obscured by neither.
- The Limit Break bar is right below my exp bar.
With this character's death, the thread of prophecy remains intact.

Here's mine.
I play on a very small resolution due to my crappy laptop (on lowest graphics settings too). Did what I could to maximize the resolutions potential in terms of HUD layout
