Uh, if that was for me I'd like you to point out where did I say I kick people for watching cutscenes or where I am stressing out about this, and if it was a general response I'd ask you to remove my quote from your post.I'm laughing so hard right now.
What's harassment is you people screaming, cursing and crying your face off because some new player wants to enjoy the CS.
If they didn't want to have people watch a CS, then they shouldn't of added it.
You're stressing yourself out, and the newbies because you wanna rush the Jesus out of the run.
Go to Mythflox Soliderstop or whatever for your Myth stuff, or whatever you do.
The ones that should seriously take the heat is the ones verbally abusing people lol.
I don't support the kick of people who watch cutscenes, I am merely pointing out SE's stance on it which won't change regardless if I agree or not.
When I do those dungeons I go with whatever the majority wants, if people want to wait I'm happy to wait, if people want to press on leaving the guy watching cutscenes then I also follow, if someone gets lost (specially at the magitek part) I stay behind as I know that's the most confusing part of the dungeon if they are not keeping up.
You people are stressing out over nothing, one side attacking the other but hardly anyone is providing solutions.
That's because there IS no solution. This problem is squarely in the developers' laps. They can't strip out the cutscenes in this content, but going forward they can make it so there's a cutscene at the beginning and a cutscene at the end (as it should be). Why they thought dotting cutscenes all over a "raid" was a good idea in an MMO will always baffle me, but there's been enough topics now that they should have the message.
It was a terrible idea. Keep cutscenes like that in single-player content, not group content.
SE does seem to have learned their lesson though. Since launch no other dungeon has been added with long cutscenes strewn throughout the the instance. Coil has the occasional cutscene too, but they're far shorter and it's in an environment where no one cares if you take a brief moment to watch them once.
Also, Square has provided a solution. It's called Party Finder. SE can't do anything about the human element so they provided a tool to make it easier to assemble other people who share your goal. You can gamble with Duty Finder and hope you get a group that will do what you want or you can use Party Finder to make your own groups so you can guarantee the other 7 will do what you want. If you absolutely insist on using Duty Finder you're going to have to deal with whatever the majority wants to do whether you like it or not.
With this character's death, the thread of prophecy remains intact.
Yes you're allowed to watch all the cutscenes but don't get butt hurt when the party finishes the dungeon while you watch the first cutscene that plays.
Who cares? The Three to Six people that grant them. I helped the newbies learn the dungeon and they had fun. I let the vets have their quick dungeon. Everyone was apparently happy. You're the only one throwing a fuss. Someone who ISN'T a newbie with 3 classes already to 50. So don't try to fool anyone..
Oh so much assumption on your part. You ask me why I feel how I do and when I tell you you call me a jerk..? Meanwhile I already told you I keep my preferred play style to myself implying I DO help out the newbies and go with whatever method people are comfy with. Once again though that to me is not a compromise and SE did create this issue, players are apart of the mess made. You solution is not a solution because there isn't one to be had and your coms prove nothing. So you do it on a healer? Big woop change the wording of what I said and the results are the same.
The JOURNEY to me to get to the cutscene is the enjoyable part (yes that's right killing the adds and making it to the boss) and there is no fault in that. There is no fault in not wanting to be carried and have work stripped from you. We're not all black and white in our feelings, I differ from the norm I know this. Which is why I TOLD YOU why I feel how I do.
Btw I never said I was new...?

Pretty sure it only says that on guildhests, and that shows up whether there are new players or not. On any other duty, the new player text just says that there are new players, and there'll be a bonus of whatever on completion. Nothing about it being swift.
10 posts per page is only the default setting; it is bad, and you should feel bad if you haven't changed it.

Yes it was in general.Uh, if that was for me I'd like you to point out where did I say I kick people for watching cutscenes or where I am stressing out about this, and if it was a general response I'd ask you to remove my quote from your post.
I am merely pointing out SE's stance on it which won't change regardless if I agree or not.
I meant to quote your other post where I found the second quote with what SE says... Which I'm not digging through posts to find again lol.
There's no solutions. People should be happy you're getting rewards, at least they can do is let people watch a CS.
That quote means nothing, someone go up and tell a GM why they used the Support Call to kick a new player and then that kicked player
who was cursed out to death tell the GM too. Let's see who will win lol.

The forum lawyers trying to play word games with the TOS are real hoot. They all think they are the devil advocates for the trolls and speed runner can extract that pound of flesh by trying strictly delineating the "letter of the law", which the GMs and SE has left deliberately vague as not get into hypotheticals so they can have leeway to exercise their prerogatives, and forgetting the "spirit" in which the rules were made. They forget that in order to build a better online community, it is better to build up the public commons, leave more on the table, and not exploit every player they come across.
"cursed out to death" - pretty obvious what would be the issue in that scenario.
If someone is vote-kicked for not skipping cutscenes, with no curse involved, GMs won't do anything even if the kicked player reports them, that's the stance they took.
I don't agree with kicking players, just because something is allowed doesn't mean you should do it.
You say there is no solution, but this part of your post can become a solution, turning the instance into solo content is a solution, it will also solve the (possible) issue of no one running it when 3.0 lands.
This is also another official solution. Also, Square has provided a solution. It's called Party Finder. Actually, didn't they add the option "Story-focused, no cutscene skipping" as a direct response to these threads?
Sounds more like you don't like the rules and want to set your own. Try making your own game. The forum lawyers trying to play word games with the TOS are real hoot. Unless you really think "i.e. skipping in-game cutscenes" and "allowing group members to watch cutscene" are vague... to which I'd say you need a reality check.
