    Well, of course. The trailers showing gameplay is going to be done in such a way to make it look as good as possible. During battle, it might not seem all that good afterall. Take MNK's Dragon Kick for example, I love that animation. But after stacking grease Lightning, the GCD is shorter than the animation and thus ruins it. Perhaps something similar will happen with NIN. Once again though, they want it to look as good as possible.

    Nothing will beat the animation of Dragon Fire Dive. I lied quake 3 or ancient quaga looks good two. Can't wait until BLM get ancient magic.

    like ninja trains, with explosions of mudras, firing off across entire maps haha. i'd actually love to see that!

    I can see where you're coming from OP, the class does look way more heavily animated/flashy then others but like others have said, i think it would actually be a lil too much and just become distracting. However i would love for the flashy effects to be defined more on all classes. Personally I'm getting tired of the BLM effects, quite how a purple blob can make fire, ice, thunder and flare i don't know. Surely they could of made it so when your casting the effect has the same colour as the element your about to cast?

    I like the 'appearing on top of the head' move and think similar body-part specific animations could be used with other classes. It would be nice if DRG's leg sweep triggered a mob's knockdown animation, for example (many of the version 1 mobs have knock-down animations, Giant Buffalo falls to its knees, Toads fall onto their backs etc).

    This may just be a test run of something they will introduce to other classes/jobs later.
