    "ffxivsetup.exe is not a valid win32 application"

    So I've just recently reformatted my computer since I've had it for a bit of time, and when I try to go to download the game from http://www.finalfantasyxiv.com/playersdownload/na/ it is telling me that the setup is not a valid win32 app, which means the uploaded client is potentially corrupted. Can we get this re-uploaded so that myself, as well as any others, are able to download the client and enjoy the game once more?

    I just downloaded it with no issues. When you say you formatted your computer do you mean, format c:

    the download may have become corrupted on it's way to your hard drive.... did you delete it and try to download it again?

    Multiple times. Everything else I have downloaded has yielded no issues.

    Can you try a different web browser to download it? Also after the restore, are all drivers up to date?

    Have you completed all Windows Updates? May want to check the optional items list as well. Make sure you have both 3.5 and the latest 4.x of .NET installed and updated. Go into Programs and Features in your Control Panel (or run appwiz.cpl from search/run) and open the link for turning Windows Features on/off to make sure BOTH are active, and then run Winupdate to make sure they are current. This has caused issues with installers off and on in the past.

    This occurs when an ISP's CDN cache has a corrupted copy.

    try changing your dns provider so that the CDN is bypassed
