I did 600+ FATEs to get 12 Atma for Ninja. It's whatevs, you just keep going until you're done. You had better luck than I did. I didn't take down how many fates it took me for my SCH Atma, but it was 361+ (forgot record first two Atma) for Ninja. But Animus is the most time consuming part of the relic anyway. At least, that was the case before 2.28 happened.
Although, I'm not sure if you were replying to reddit guy or my comment about how slow that guy is. I'll assume the former.

actually speaking of mount, it is looking like perhaps down the line we may have a Odin mount, seen it on ffxiv database if i recall.![]()
I think the fact that SE has taken a slightly unique approach to the mmo genre is escaping a lot of people.
SE is creating a multipath system, in which there are many ways to do the same thing, and yet none are required.
There will always be a perceived optimal path, and the non optimal paths will be seen by the min/max community as bad. But it really isn't about the fastest way or "best" way to achieve a goal.
Instead SE has chosen to just give people multiple paths and to choose which they like.
This creates a very unique environment in which players are not forced down the same tube. On the flipside you will have people complain about the paths they do not like. And these people are completionist or min maxers who feel slighted.
Take 115 weapons, there is Nexus and HA. Both very different paths, with very similar outcomes. You are forced to do neither. More options are always better. And you should stop and think what 115 weapons would be if only HA existed/or if only Nexus existed.
I think people should be more open to the idea of having options, and try not to be so negative.
Hoarders gonna Horde.
I agree with these points, but I think your forum title is a little off. Their approach has largely been successful, and they have listened to the community on a number of issues.A very good point to make. While I do appreciate this style & favor it in fact, I believe SE hasn't been very effective at implementing it... at least, not yet--I hope for them.
Maybe it's that they're spreading themselves too thin or are having trouble striking a good balance, idk it's just my opinion.
It simply comes down to this for me: I think they could make things overall a lot more "fun".
FATE's could stand to be more interesting (bosses with mechanics).
Dungeons less steam-rollable.
Frontlines less restrictive (unable to play alongside many friends/FC mates).
So on, so forth.
I think as long as SE continues to try to improve, they don't have to get everything perfect the first time. This game has come a long way, and is def on the right path. (imo)
As the community we should continue to look for improvements that could be made, while understanding that not every game element can be made specifically for an individual and must benefit the whole.
Hoarders gonna Horde.
What people do not understand is that this game isnt made by one united community. It is divided into two. The two communities are based on the different cultures and beleives. The things we like to see in this game doesnt mean they are also acceptable by other half of the community.I agree with these points, but I think your forum title is a little off. Also, having a direction implies having a destination. Some design choices may not make sense right now, but maybe they will later on.What people do not understand is that this game isnt made by one united community. It is divided into two. This I have to agree with, though I also agree with the OP.
They should get things a bit more "right at the start" so as to save-face & instill trust back into the players.
Slapping something in last-minute (Hunts) only serves to harm the player-bases' opinion of the Dev's & causes them not to put their faith in any longer.
If SE had better "foundational skills", I think it would go a long way.
But that is why we want transparency. Since the days of FFXI, SE lacks this feature. They end up with this disingenuous image which often could have been avoided by simply tell us what is going on.
I also think they should hype more. It's nice to know what you can look forward to. When Ninja was announced back in June it was awesome. Not so much now when the info is the exact same every time we hear something about Ninja. Rants about housing? Throw people off. Boom! Leak something (for them minor) about 3.0. Community management is their task. I don't see it.

Don't tell people how fast atma goes by just because itwwasn't a nightmare for you... Seriously I'm so tired of people with good luck telling everyone else how it is... You obviously have no clue, now go sit down.I feel there is nothing wrong with the whole Atma grinding. It goes by really quickly tbh. Just most ppl make it feel like it takes to long.
As for The Hunt and PS3/4 players... Not much I can say about that besides this is an MMO and for as long as I played MMOs (yes, I know FFXI is on PS as well) I feel MMOs should stick to PCs and PCs only. I see it as their fault and we (PC) should not be punished for it. The game already has limits due to it being on the PS3/4.
As for hunts... Since when has it been an issue for PS4? I'm genuinely curious because I've never once had anything disappear in any hunt or Odin on mine.
Takes about 1-2 weeks of farming fates. least 18-36 hours. Iv done them twice and yes its hell on earth. Each trial of the relic isnt even remotely fun. Basically is spam this content 500 times. I miss 1.0 relic quest. There needs to a brick wall preventing players doing this content again and that savage coil trials for Relic Weapon upgrade. I played with alot of unskilled Nova's players this week and there need to be a trial where you need skill. Heres a good challenge.
(2.4)
Obtain: Nexus--> lv50 Zodiak Weapon
base it around beastmen dallies/other content
(2.5)
For BRD: Obtain Allagan Bows from T5,T9,T13
Complete all Savage Coils from T1-T13
Reward: lv60 Zodiak Bow (Savage)
More then 70% of players would get stuck here cus they dont know how to do the content/get a team for it/know how to play the game.
