Imperial Assaults Where & When?

ive see it near horizon 2 hours ago, the npc was gone when i finished my leve though. I then found it at tranquil and did 3 of them i believe.

on wutai btw.

I played ~ 2 time at camp tranquil, 3 times at horizon.
I notice when the moon (just shift) to upper right corner (these 10%) moon phase alfgar will pop.
There will be 3 waves. If you fight good, they will withdraw within 10 mins. Seems like have to kill certain amount of captains (not certain). If the number wasn't meet, they will win after ~20 mins.

You don't need to kill to earn the reward. All you need to do is sign up. then you can go to a quiet corner to craft.
They aggro to anyone who sign up, regardless your rank.
Also, when we say at Camp tranquil, it's not exactly at the camp... it's NW of camp tranquil, north of camp horizon for example.


BTW when Alfgar pops, imperial will attack. However, it's not mean when he's there, imperial will keep attacking. After a while, Alfgar's chat will be different and saying we won and some adventures fight them off... so don't tele to Horizon when you see Alfgar right away. Confirm with him first.
It also happened twice to me he told me we are under attack, but when I go to horizon, it's nothing for 1hr. then when I came back to talk to him, he changed his dialog...

hmm this time the imperial attacked at half moon. According to yg it's 4hour earth time to that 20% moon phase.

I actually don't know where is Gridania and LL's npc spawn location.
Should it be outside adventure guild again?

It seems like every time I log on now alfgar is there spouting his nonsense about the empire. Seems to happen alot. Also I have fought at the horizon one quite a few times and have only seen a max of 2 imperial attacks.

I dont understand why this happens that rarely...
It only happens at R20 camps and with looooooooooooooooooong brakes between.
The last days i did wait some hours and today i did wait the whole day for nothing...

Sometimes i wish i could ask the dev, what the fuck he did think at the moment he did decide this...

When Alfgar is in Ul'dah there will be an NPC on a Chocobo that will randomly turn up north of Horizon.
While Alfgar is up the NPC will keep turning up every 15-30 minutes and you'll be able to join to fight the imperial assault.

It's the same with the other regions but I don't know what the NPCs are called.

This event is driving me crazy.. No matter how long I stay at any of these camps it never happens.. I've even seen The Girl at Bloodshore and gotten the Achievement for it and the Outrider never spawned. I do not understand why SE would make something like this so ridiculously rare and then attach an achievement to it..
