New Gun Class/job

Actually they did this one time in Megaman NT Warrior. They used Searchman's rifle to fire Roll's healing ability (shut up it makes perfect sense) into an injured Megaman to get him back in the fight.

Considering SE is working on the Gun Class to be something people do not expect it to be, we will have to wait a bit longer until 1st expansion since they may be working on special mechanics and other unique things for the Gun class so it can stand out more than being a simple Archer with a Gun.

I just want a straight up non magical ranged DPS, as straight up as DPS get in this game, because admittedly they all have some sort of support ability. Bard was kinda sorta leaned closer into a bigger DPS role in ARR after being closer to a support role in 1.x, and it does do some decent DPS but it's not quite it for me. Though if Musketeer ended up with Chemist as their job I honestly wouldn't really have an issue. Knowing the direction this game is going, I wouldn't be surprised if they ended up being changed into a Magitek Gunswordshieldthatthrowsgunsthatshootmoreguns tank class with a pet, nothing wrong with that, but yeah no.

i've always felt the gun class will be like the first boss of pharos except without the corrupted crystals. and i recently noticed something interesting.....he is wearing storm elite's coat.... wich is DoM only.

Cutlass off hand pistol main would be cool. Especially for a dps and you could have it focus on debuffs and quick attacks. The path of inquisition Witch Hunter from WAR would be a good example here.

Will a Dark Knight be considered a BattleMage? Can use both Magic and Melee? I remember from Aragast War Zero that the majority of BattleMages uses Sycthes and Maigic and are considered best class in the game.

I think a Ranged tank would be possible, however you would have to keep the Mob in perment stun so you can jump back and range him. But yea don't know how they would do that in game.
