i hope its going to be more than just 2 new jobs...
i want to see also puppetmaster ripping of from pugilist.. as a petclass... and that you could customize your puppets like in FFXI.. that'd be awesome.
since summoner was a disappointment concerning a real pet class..
Known Facts:
Both a new Tank & Healer with expansion.
No guaranteed 3rd class/job with expansion.
Gunner supposed to come sooner than later though not promised to come with expansion nor will it release beforehand.
Gunner known to incorporate magic somehow.
Theory 1: Gunner Job is Chemist (healer) releasing with expansion.
Theory 2: Gunner Job is Gun Mage (dps) releasing not long after expansion release.

Well, if we're going to be all nitpicky, I don't know if I like personal housing or not, simply because I can't even participate in it.
So, perhaps they'll implement a gun class in a similar way. First 160 people after patch to log in and open the job are the only ones that can get it until they slowly add more job openings.
Make sense? No? Hmm, but housing was done that way and apparently it's just fantabulous!
><
Yeah, I wouldn't bet on any of those "known facts" seeing as how it was a "known fact" from Yoshi's own post that personal housing would be completely separate from FC housing, and naturally far more affordable.....
Yep, I'm disillusioned and bitter!![]()
Everyone thought paid retainers and fantasia would be the end of it.
You were warned.

so you want to use an extreme to make a point?
what does that do for you? oh pls that's like people saying they could do 3k fates and not get a atma and that makes it *bad*
or they can 100 t9's and not get a blm weapon and the drops rigged.

RNG is RNG. I do always advocate for a token system in cases like that, especially with primal weapons, but not necessarily with regard to relic weapons. Relic weapons should take a long time.
RNG, is different from housing. Housing is absolutely NOT available. At all. To anyone who didn't grab a plot of land early. AND it will be pretty much the same situation when the next patch comes out. Because plots will (at least for the foreseeable future) be LIMITED.
If my example is an extreme, yet it's EXACTLY how housing was implemented, doesn't it then follow that the implementation of housing was in itself extreme? To introduce an element into the game that, no matter how hard or long you work, you won't be able to participate in?
It's even worse when gardening is also INACCESSIBLE due to a lack of housing plots for everyone.
How can you say that anything about the housing implementation is reasonable?

What you're essentially saying is that housing will be inaccessible forever.RNG, is different from housing. Housing is absolutely NOT available. At all. Camman. It'll only be inaccessible for the next 5 years, at best.

rng is rng so everything is fine? this is my point
you can say housing is inaccessible but for whom? we get a free inn anyone can join a fc with a fc house and get a room for 300k and you also want a personal house?
the only thing inaccessible is gardening and that's because only so many people can use a garden.
housing isn't inaccessible cause there is multiple ways you get to have your own room.
the problem is you want it to be how you want it to be and it isn't
so my question is how is it not reasonable? because not everyone can have a personal house?
Seriously they did not say we would ONLY be getting a heals and tank during the expansion, just saying those two roles would be coming as an answer to the question of why they were only introducing a DPS before the expansion. So the gun class may not be either of those.
and I can't see it being a tank, as tanks have to stay in melee range at all times to complete their task. (don't try and argue this, it's the truth, this game was not designed to accomodate a ranged tank, and a ranged tank is something that the game has to have the mechanics set in place for from the get go) Which means giving them a ranged weapon is a complete waste of said weapon, when its bound to one class.
As a healer it could work, I'd love to see chemist with a mix ability that functions like Ninjas mudras. but then you'll have a gun... and never use it to complete your role so whats the point? With a healer youd actually be making it purely for aesthetics as opposed to mechanics, which is something SE really shouldn't do.
full circle we come back to DPS, I know theirs too many dps already but some weapons can only be done with dps, if you want to maximise the mechanics you can create. Aesthetics should never be chosen over creating an interesting class, because if the class isn't interesting to play; it doesn't matter how cool it looks, people won't play it. (an issue I currently have with Dragoon)

I believe you missed this post, someone did in fact say exactly that.
Alberel states the gun job WILL be a tank or heal class.
