Your assessment of the requirements for a rank appropriate run aren't entirely true. While I haven't done Toto Rak in a purely R25 L<30 party, I have had people rank up their physical level to 27 in a well balanced party ranging from R25-30 and besides, party balance is fine for trying to run efficiently. Also completed the run by the way, and in no way am I an elitist nor are the people I played with. I don't think it's a detrimental design flaw for the dungeon runs. Storm through them as R30 L50 or strategize prior to entry and put together a party with specific abilities. The only thing hurting this game is the people who play it, same thing happened to XI, just happening rather quickly in this game due to the state it's in. 1.18/Raids have increased party play and fostered growing relationships between people outside of the same linkshell, and I don't want to go back to the same anti-social "linkshell fantasy online" we were playing before.
The party search feature is fine, player's refuse to use it out of a)never playing an mmo with an advanced party search feature or b) its not like XI'S OMG eff it i'll never use it. IMHO all it needs is a flag for seeking now and some sort of seacom.
I do believe r30 players with low phys levels cannot do toto-rak without pl. Honestly you'd prob need like GLA, CONJ,THM (for dd and back up heal), and then any other dd (archer doesn't matter half of much in this one). You would need a dedicated tank though, and a dedicated healer, and prob an off healer, because rank 30 people with low phys levels have gimp for mp, i mean the average rank 30 person i know doesn't have above a r40 phys level and has 600-600 mp, as a r32 conj, i have 1000mp due to phys level 50, it helps way more when doing the dungeons because you don't run out of mp half as fast. Even with mp management, with 600 mp you can't do crap. Yoshi P said the r25s wouldn't really required a dedicated party set up as much, but for now, with phys levels still in place, and lots of people level 30 for some reason who never level past that (unexplainable to me honestly easiest level range ever and they quit out and stay 30 for months but still on everyday? wth are you doing standing afk in uldah most the time?!) Those dungeons will be harder.
4 r30s with phys level 50 could do that dungeon just fine, or just as long as your vit and mnd are capped at that level its fine not nececcasirly phys level 50. But seriously my idea of a dungeon being fun isn't waiting for three other low level people to be unweakened -.- because they have no concept of hate management and pull all hate.
Switching classes is also supposed to be made easier with some of the upcoming patches so I'm not entirely against the idea that switching classes will maximize efficiency. It is unfortunate though as if you switch to a higher rank class in Toto or an R50 in Dzemael you'll be missing out on SP and, as stated before, under the current system it's a time sink unless you want to use your macros for changing classes.

I don't agree with rank 50s doing the dungeons. But honestly to level off the r25 dungeons with new people is kind of insane. You must understand that when I talk, I usually mean new people since, we can't typically hold this game together with all of us who have been here from the CE forever. there are many new people on my server, and its a little harder for them to grasp the strategy of this dungeon at first, and it takes them a couple tries and its challenging. But for some its not just challenging at first it's annoying. The r50 dungeons are the same way if you try to level in them by r45, but you are more accustomed to what this game throws at you. I guess i think the r25 are a steep learning curve for new people, since r25 is quite easy to hit, and doesn't take much challenge or dedication, the r25 dungeon will give them an opportunity to learn their class, but more often than not most of the trial error time is extended by copious deaths. It's hard for me to even level with these guys cause I'm like "omg you're squishy" then i have to sit back and be like "okay i was squishy once when my phys level was 25-30" thats all i'm saying, is that new people might need some help, not that we all need to get on r50s and do it the dungeons.
Don't worry. Once I finish my dungeon quests I'll go back to leveling. I'm regening anima by camping the dungeons... so I'm actually gaining anima so I can spend it turning in Local Leves...
Edit: This thread WAS about me... right?
Love it. Maybe you should just switch servers or until PS3 release.
Not having a problem finding parties for grinding and dungeons. Love it.
I feel the abyssea type of raid system worked out very well for FF11. It made the game fun again, and allowed them to keep the rulesets for old world content the same while drastically changing game mechanics inside of abyssea.
That being said. I would not want to see an exact duplicate, but something along the same lines of open world NM hunting via pop systems would be cool.
The dungeons are always cool as an additional thing to do by the way. They just need to expand into other areas.
People like this make me laugh. The game is terrible, you're obviously blind to that fact either due to ignorance or being rookie. Either way, people like the OP obviously wish the game was better than what it is, and dont want to give up on it. Me personally... I love the FF series, I still play 11, I wish this game was more than the heaping pile of you know what it is but its not. SO I voice my opinion in the hopes other people share said opinion and it eventually gets noticed by the slackers that are taking forever fixing this garbage game.
Normally I would agree, but the OP has a reputation for creating nothing but complaint threads. I'm just trying to figure out why you would put yourself through this misery if you are so unhappy.People like this make me laugh. i dont have a reputation for that o.o i keep my threads pretty balanced. 50%ish positive 50%ish critical, and i tend to mention i love parts of the game when i do criticize as in the first line of this thread. People just like to rage, ignore my positive points, and focus on my negative ones.
