Hardcore, non-raider. I have the gear for it but the non-stop grind and stressful mechanics get's old.
I made a new character to get away from it on my old server and I've been much happier since.

I am the one that gets angry when you pay for a game, and can't do the only real end-game cause of lockouts... coil.

Moderate Non-raider

In terms of time played a week, I'm "Hardcore" but I don't like hardcore systems in-game save for Crystal Tower stuff (Which isn't hardcore.)
So I'll choose nothing from Option 1 and 2.

According to those rules I'd be a hardcore raider... but according to hardcore raiders I'm not.
I play on average 7hrs a day, every day.
I love to raid but don't want to burn out. I've found a group that raids 2-3 times a week ~2 hrs each raid which is perfect for me until it seems like progress has been walled (T7 ugh).
But I can't completely T7 so according to other raiders I'm a horribad.
Hmmm...
I'm just nooby player who dislike raids (Because no duty finder and because everyone's so super busy and pro with it that it already makes me dislike it)
Let's see... 2h every day + around 15 the weekends... Yeah! I guess that enters in hardcore no raider then! I only play FFXIV after all ^^
(And yes, there's a lot of things to do that's not raid... Especially if you have to gear up equally all your gatherers, crafters, adventurers... Is the all-arounder way)
Hardcore all over but I have been lacking on the raids lately, but I play times a week about 5 hours aday on average sometimes more.

Your description has me pegged as a hardcore raider, but I definitely identify moreso with being a casual non-raider. I'm not opposed to raiding and I love doing it whenever I can, but many raiders are just terrible people with really short tempers and an amount of patience that wouldn't even fill a thimble.
Also, even though I play almost 30 hours per week on average, I'm mostly going at a gentle pace with content. I don't grind all that much unless I have to, and even then I don't devote more than a couple hours to the cause per day.

This is how I feel. Time spent playing has little to do with this particular label I think. I view those players who value min-maxing, ilvl and server/world firsts above all else as being Hardcore. And by all else I mean story, exploration, and especially other players.
I spend a whole lot of time in this game, and based on hardcore values, I have very little to show for it. But, I do raids also. I'm grateful to be in a coil static that is friendly and laid back, so I get to participate in the end game stuff without the end game drama. It's fun.
If I had to label myself, it would be Alt-aholic, as I have multiple (5!) characters with multiple jobs leveled and geared acceptably. I expect to be leveling #6 when the new race lands.
But I would never call myself a hardcore raider. I'd actually be slightly insulted if someone said I were, based on what I think it means. But that's just my opinion. Take it for what you will. ^^;

Hardcore
Non-raider
I choose not to raid because I am very introverted, and socially awkward.
I'm ok with pugs because there is very little communication involved
