"Final Fantasy 14 has stopped working" error

I recently purchased a new laptop and installed the game, however I am unable to get it to work. Every time I click on the green "Play" button I get an error saying "Final Fantasy 14 has stopped working" and the game crashes to the desktop. Below is the Windows log of the error..

Yes, it's an extremely high quality gaming laptop. Far above the minimum requirements.

Just for the heck of it try running the benchmark. If it comes out ok, try to reinstall the software.
