Ya it is possibly the secret passage mentioned back in 2.3 Main Scenario. We may have to complete this new dungeon to reach Shiva Primal fight for 2.4 Main Scenario.
I'm bumping this because images for 2.4 content has been posted up along with the list of 2.4 contents.
The name of the new dungeon is Snowcloak which will be the dungeon required to reach Shiva's location in Falcon's Nest
ROgue Unlock has also been confirmed to require players to have at least 1 level 10 class and will not be playable as a starting class until 1 class has reached lvl 10.

and the Eternal bond system will not arrive until Patch 2.45.While on the subject of the new class and job, the poison used by Rogues will be completely different than the DOTs (damage-over-time) that we have so far, as it will be based off a completely new system.
When asked whether there will be any any special conditions needed to get the job change to Ninja, Yoshi-P said there won’t be anything like that, but you’ll need to have a job at level 10 to unlock Rogue, as it won’t be available right off the bat.

I dunno if I just wasn't in the right mood for this but the next patch seems a bit "meh". I'm also kinda wondering why battlefields themselves can't have more interactive elements. That shiva arena is the same round plate that 99% of the bosses are on.
Anyway I hope it's a cool patch with a bad trailer.
yup , when i went to t9 the first time and noticed the teleporters around and the stairs going up ect , i was OMFGGGGGG FINALLY....thanks SE for brining back this battlefield!!!!..........reality punched me on the face![]()
The battlefield is quite dull, yeah. Hopefully the actual fight will make up for that.

t9 is fun, but that battlefield was from FFXIV 1.0 , sadly in 2.0 is the same boring battlefield a lame circle......
what i was expecting :
go to 8:00

Having not done T9 yet, but watched 1.0's Nael van Darnus fight... can you walk up and down the stairs? Was always funny how that was randomly there.t9 is fun, but that battlefield was from FFXIV 1.0 , sadly in 2.0 is the same boring battlefield a lame circle......

Yep, the meteors slowly drop from the top, and there are platforms toward the top you can stand on to head them off and break them before they hit the ground. At one part of the fight, he jumps and lands all the way at the top and you have to go all the way up and do enough damage to bring him back down.
If you have hate and you go on the stairs he one shots you for 9999.
In 1.0 anyways, t9 has no stairs.

This is awesome stuff!
I'm always amped about new dungeons, but I'm not as pumped for the addition of a new tomestone. I think the game already has a few too many currencies that are always being overshadowed/phased out/whatever. Doesn't even feel like we've had soldiery for that long and it's already probably becoming the new myth. I wonder how they'll handle things that cost myth if myth gets phased out? Will old myth drop numbers become soldiery drop numbers and current soldiery drop numbers become the rate at which the new tome drops? ...and why do we have so many Allagan tomes? Build us a library already...lol.
SHIVA THOUGH. Please beautiful ice weapons...since every Ramuh Ex clear I get I never seem to find the bow or WHM staff T.T
It been happening since they upgraded to Soldiery and replaced Philosophy with Mythology.
The mythology Tome gears will be only obtainable from Hunt Venders as Hunt rewards once Mythology tomes are removed in 2.4
Mythology will be replaced by Soldiery and the limit on Soldiery will be removed in 2.4
