Opinion and suggestion for crafting (synthesis)

When i first looked a video of ffxiv i was amazed about the crafting scenes .. you could actually see the character or npc do the recipe .. there are some npcs in the game that you can see working .. but when we craft .. may you be carpenter or culinarian .. its always the same thing .. a shiny cristal changing color .. im kinda deceived by that.
anyway id like to see our character do something. id keep the shiny thing , put it over what we are crafting. wouldnt it be cool seeing a blacksmith knocking on a metal bar and the more the synthesis goes on the more the bar takes shape and eventually it looks like sword ... click finish and your character shows it's creation proudly while the shiny thing fusions with the sword! i think that'd add to the gameplay! ^_^

i dont like the luck factor in craft, please remove it, really crafting is boring and tedius
