I still don't understand how killing the boss in a timely manner without a wipe on the first or second try is not "doing the right thing". The newbie still gets to see all, or most of the mechanics and phases . It's simply not feasible to explain every mechanic every time there is a new person in a roulette.

This has nothing to do with explaining the fight...reread the OP. They're a healer and these people he's speaking of are taking off before the healer even has time to buff. For all these tanks know both healers might be taking 30 seconds to open a can of pop or get the cat off the keyboard and because they're in such a rush to finish a fight that's going to be over in 3 minutes anyways they're potentially going to die and wipe the group.

I repeat, you can cast protect after the fight has started, so where's the problem? Swiftcast+Protect even, what are you gonna use that swiftcast for anyways?

I'm replying to Wyrmnus. His grievence is completely different than the OP.

IDC if peoe run off while I'm on heals, I just target protect on them.and keep it moving. Its no big deal, especially since those fights can be healed in your sleep.

I'm pretty sure as an overgeared scholar, you can just put Eos on Obey and DPS, and I'm pretty sure nobody would even die.

It's the only way you're going to get what you ask for. Just by virtue of how old the content is, the majority of the playerbase is going to outgear it by miles anyway which is going to have a big impact on how new players experience it. If you want to really experience the fights in the way you're asking you need to make your own group with clearly defined rules of who can join or else you're right back to square one.

Using Duty Finder and moaning when the overgeared players destroy the content is silly when SE added Party Finder specifically to combat situations like this.

Just by virtue of how old the content is, the majority of the playerbase is going to outgear it by miles anyway which is going to have a big impact on how new players experience it. If you want to really experience the fights in the way you're asking you need to make your own group with clearly defined rules of who can join or else you're right back to square one.

He's not complaining they're facerolling the content...he's complaining that the tanks take off and pull without a care about the rest of the party being ready or not. Big difference there.
