I don't see housing as a top priority issue. If anything, I don't think housing has been given enough priority because they are working on so much other content instead. The evidence is in how many times the housing related patches and fixes have fallen short of people's expectations.
If you're asking why the dev team bothers with housing at all, I think it's the sense of permanence. Players like to have something in the game that is uniquely theirs. With equipment that's barely possible, outside of glamours that anyone can mimic if they have the gear or the time to get it (except certain unique / rare rewards).
Counter point, why have more than 3 jobs(tank, healer, dps) and only one dungeon to run over and over again and instead they could put all their resources into making space for houses, I mean why should I care what you think since you clearly don't give a crap about anyone but yourself?

I don't understand why you're so quick to disregard the OP's position. Maybe you don't care about anyone but yourself?Counter point, why have more than 3 jobs(tank, healer, dps) and only one dungeon to run over and over again and instead they could put all their resources into making space for houses, I mean why should I care what you think since you clearly don't give a crap about anyone but yourself?

I'd question whether or not housing was even a "priority" to the developers, considering how sloppily it was implemented.
On topic, this game's current structure really doesn't cultivate the amount of jobs 11 had, due to it following the standard MMORG holy trinity. More jobs would be nice to see, but with this model you can only have so many tanks/healers/DPS before they all start to feel the same.

Too late >_> They already do lol
I'd love for more jobs, especially complex ones or a real pet job. But as was said in another topic, SE thinks we're too dumb to handle any of that, so they try to make all the jobs as similar as possible so people can easily switch to them and have no trouble, yet some people still do, no matter how often they play said job :/ That's another let down in the majority of mmos these days, there's no real difference in the jobs except very tiny minor things that don't really impact it, which makes it kind of boring
>_> lol have to but "it works in mmos!"
Because you do not understand the difference of the jobs in this game, it doesn't mean that there isn't any.Too late >_> They already do lol

It's not just me that doesn't see a difference >_> lol It's not like other mmos where you want a specific job for something and only that job. Here you can have pretty much anything for content and it doesn't matter at all. Judging by what I've seen of the community, I'm sure they did that so people don't "get their feelings hurt" or "have to level another job" because the one they picked isn't useful in content.
People don't see the difference because people can't seem to grasp what relative balance is. The fact is that every jobs plays differently and the game is balanced so that you can pick any combos of tanks, healers and DPS to clear the content. That's a good thing and it's not hard to understand why. It's not just me that doesn't see a difference >_> lol It's not like other mmos where you want a specific job for something and only that job. For certain content (FATEs, etc.), but you can't have 8 people working on downing Garuda (EX) and throw more people at it and expect anything, any extra people would be spectators who fetch coffee at best. Worst, and much more likely, case they end up as an annoyance that gets in the way and actually slows down progress. No matter what it's a waste of manpower though and wouldn't happen; either they work on housing or they're pretty much out of the job.
