I upgraded my Nvidia drivers to 344 and it somehow broke the hook in d3d9.dll for SweetFX and any variant. It exhibited very strange behavior. A simple driver rollback didn't correct the issue, I had to perform a system restore from a snapshot before the driver upgrade. If you like your eye-candy and you're using nvidia, stick with the 340 drivers for now!
If you receive the error below, you should restore your system to a point before you upgraded your drivers; and always create a system restore point before a graphics driver update!

The procedure entry point Direct3DCreate9Ex could not be located in the dynamic link library d3d9.dll.
