Attention devs: Game Surveillance Unit re: open world Bots.

Not nearly enough bans, Assuming 1054 bans across all 65 servers (16 people per server) that can hardly be but the tip of the ice berg of players who bought gil, and all the rmt/bots making it, carry partys are raking in insane ammounts, hundreds of millions no problem, no way that made a dent.

I'm gonna look around in a bit and I'll bet all the major botters are still around on my server.

This is their token gesture to show they are doing something, yet when you work out how many RMT per server this actually is ... yeah. Not really that impressive, is it?

They're still there, 2 WHM,1SCH,1BRD and one dude sitting off in a corner I never bothered to check what he was.

Will be their crafter. Ours have one too that does pit stop deliveries then disappears for several hours. I always make sure to add them to the reports and explain what they are.

Good to see that the question posted by ToffeeCoffee was completely ignored, despite having 98 votes. Instead, they deemed "Can we have a kettle for our house!?" much more important. Clearly. Can't have the "quality of life evangelists" upset now, can we? What an absolute joke.

I didn't see the typical N.Shroud bots around at all since the patch, though I was playing at odd hours too...

But then yesterday I saw them again and sighed. (Only a little, since someone did MPK them which will stop them until the next time their player checks their screen.)

It's not that hard to find bots. Just go to the Ul'dah aetheryte (any city-state aetheryte, really) or outside Copperbell Mines. They're always there.

Out of all the attention given to the cash shop, it amazes me how this [botting] doesn't get the same light of day or discussion that the aforementioned does.
I sometimes wonder what the percentage of "legit" players botting is and if maybe that is the reason why no one wants to push for harsher punishment for botters.

Amazing how the cash shop is brought up as the devil incarnate for "pay 2 win" yet people turn a blind eye and don't call for harsher punishment for botters because let's face it: how is botting not equal to pay 2 win? both are giving an advantage over the have-not's...

I think MPKing bots should be rewarded by SE. Just saying. I spend a lot of time just holding aggro on mobs while I do things around my house, in a spawn location for the bots on my server. I've recorded Video and even offered to share the video with the GMs to verify the botting. I still haven't received a single response from them, ever.

This is the other thing I don't like about $quare €nix.

They do nothing about bots (that I have reported for the umpteen time; I don't bother anymore).
They do nothing about the gil seller spam - it has gotten so annoying (my blacklist was full) that I just flat out disable tells.
Throw in grindly as heck "content" and their general unresponsiveness to player requests - Carbuncles, SMN, why not? - it's all beginning to come back as to why I quit a few months back.

Now more and more cash shop crap. /smh

It's not that people don't care, it's just that ship has sailed.

People have already talked about this many times. Square has still done nothing. They don't care your chatbox is being spammed every five minutes with advertisements. They don't care people are buying gil and breaking the marketboard economy.

There is more profit for Square if they just don't get too involved since RMTs pay subscriptions. They do the "daily sweep" and post comforting numbers for the public to see, but those numbers could be fake for all we know. Whatever shuts people up.
