Attention devs: Game Surveillance Unit re: open world Bots.

I keep seeing 24 (3 groups) of BLM bots in the Ul'dah Aetherite spamming dungeons. They have gibberish names, wear BLM AF2 gear with crap weapons and no jewelry. They all use the exact same hyur male model, same hair cut, eye color, face, etc. There is no way on earth they are legit players.

Last night, outside of Copperbell Mines, a friend and I witnessed the following:

Group of eight Lalafell bots with exact same equip, appearance, auto-generated names etc. Their POShacking script screwed up so they were running from A to B, getting to B and teleporting back to A. Over and over. When they died (we shalln't say how) they immediately Return-ed and appeared a second later mid-air, a short distance away. They would then all target a mob in the area and Blizzard it down before back to running A > B and that was that.

I called a GM to attend immediately and witness it for themselves and this is the reply I got (in a nutshell) : "Please go report them on the support site, thanks. Nothing really to do with the in-game support team."

Tell me how I am meant to have any faith in any GM at all? Please. Oh, and btw, N.Shroud scumbags are STILL THERE OPERATING. Sixteen reports and STF report sent = nothing.

Well, like i was saying to you on an other post, if they not ban after that long, maybe there are not bots but just multiple characters controlled by the same player.
I see on your picture that he did not reply to trade and was kill by hunt mob, but that's not a perfect proof. Could be on his crafter, playing his others char while not watching them and spamming a /tenemy /cast offensiveSpell macro.
While you dont like this, there is no rules broke and no need to 3thd party at that point.

Do you have a video or something that show his slaves drived by an AI ? (Like while he's not answering to trade something like independant movement, heal below a % of health, complexe rotation or proc usage that can't be done with in game macro)

Only someone that bots would say that....

North Shroud bots on my server are still here. Just submitted another report, which I know will go completely ignored again. Let's hope we get a response on the live letter question but I'm not holding my breath for anything positive.

I have come to the conclusion there is no such thing as this so called special task force or unit and all GM's do is tell you to send reports to this fictional unit.

It wouldn't surprise me. A lot of stuff is just a placebo. Walk buttons at intersections with significant traffic generally don't work. That stuff is 99% computer controlled now. Same goes for the close buttons in elevators. Most of them either don't work at all or only work with a key. In most office buildings the thermostats aren't actually wired to anything. Etcetera.

idk if this is even relevant to this thread or if its even been stated/mentioned. i know of a guy who buys gil. BUT he doesnt buy it from RMT gil seller botter doohickey persons lol he actually buys it from a FC on my server( or 2 or more idk, i just know he told me this over VOIP). he even went as far as telling me the FC and everything. but its the type of FCs that do end game and sell end game content and use some of that gil to sell IRL via PayPal i believe is what he said? now wouldnt that be considered against the ToS too? cuz its def happening. and ive heard it happening on several other servers

I know a guy who buys Gil from a FC on my server. The type of FCs that sell end game content and use some of that gil to sell IRL via PayPal. Wouldn't that be considered against the ToS? Because its definitely happening and it's happening on several other servers as well

Of course that's again the ToS to sell in game virtual currency for real life money, behind SquarEnix's back.

What is more worrying is the fact that the Nov 20th Actions taken against in-game RMT/Illegal activity is that somebody only received a temporary ban, well if it's either RMT or Illegal activity it should warrant a full ban.

I thought mine had finally been stamped out! They weren't there Mon/Tues/Wed and I was like "OMG YES SE, YAASSSSSS". Doing Ixal dailies this morning and I hear the "Holy" cast and I literally stopped and face-palmed myself. Hard.

They're still there, 2 WHM,1SCH,1BRD and one dude sitting off in a corner I never bothered to check what he was. I try my best to slow them down, only so much I can do though. I did force the WHM to have to equip some of their i90 gear instead of all crafted armor. But. Ugh.
