Attention devs: Game Surveillance Unit re: open world Bots.

I think its obvious that they are trying and just because they do not get the one that you are infatuated with does not mean that they are not trying. I would assume they are going for the bigger players on not some peddling mining bot.

What you should do is let them do there jobs as they see fit.

Problem is, they're not doing their job. Same RMT left in place for months to generate gil unchecked? Nope, wouldn't call that a "successful operation". Also, the ones myself and ToffeeCoffee post about are the big materia-makers. They produce a massive amount for the market, and in turn, revenue for the gil-selling companies. So next time you see someone with x12 Savage Might IVs for sale in one go (550k each on Balmung), thank SE's Task Force for doing their job to an excellent standard. Or not.

Great thread. I have had similar frustrations. I even made a post about it (long ago) here: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...-I-Have-It-%29. Shortly after I added a video of the bots on that forum post, they actually did indeed finally get banned. Get video evidence, post it here. It gets attention, and is good proof.

There are far too many on servers like mine (Excalibur) for reports to matter.

Did they get banned or did they just find a more copious and lucrative avenue? Maybe even a server transfer.

Frustrations with bots and RMT is understandable, but every MMO i have played in the last 18 years has had these problems and from my experience the only way it goes away is when the game population dies off and they have no reason to be here.

I may be wrong, but has there been any MMO where they have successfully stopped botting and RMT while the game still had a very active population?

On Sargatanas, there is a full party of bots that have been spiritbonding/farming in the North Shroud. Right where the plasmoids spawn outside of Fallgourd Float.

So yeah I was mining some gold ore and I found this...


There's like 3-4 bots under that main guy, now I'm no game developer or GM but something tells me thats hacking.

The blackmages bots are taking over Eorzea by storm.

This is just a tiny fraction of black mage bots and archer bots I seen this evening, I have counted maybe over 100 or more in the last 30 minutes either at that NPC or most in Uldah aetheryte plaza (probably even more if I went to the other major cities). I sent three tickets to GMs and nothing seems to being done about it. By the looks of it all the RMT bots log in before a maintenance or patch and drop off their botted goods etc before maintenance or patch happens and by looks of it some seem to drop it off in private rooms at the inns as I followed quite few there.





That is just a TINY FRACTION of the amount of bots I seen tonight. I have screenshots where ones in images above have been replaced by other bots spawning and the actual amount is well in excess of a hundred now.

Now that they have dropped off their botted goods and RMT gil amounts etc or still dropping them off whether to private room or to seller characters...the RMT messages have started while at the same time all the bots I reported are still there dropping off more goods and gil. SE appears to be doing nothing to tackle this at all.
