That seems like it's more a problem with the people who play the job than the job itself.
If a Bard isn't singing their songs when it would support their party members, it doesn't matter how much damage they're doing, they're a bad Bard.

Because balance. Or Something.
Because you been a naughty boy

Nothing says we cant have dancer class...I expect to see it before musketeer....
we cant expand on bard because I personally don't think "they" know what bard is...

I'm really sick and tired of the devs thinking we're so dumb. Yes, some of us aren't very skilled and as players we're mediocre, but sometimes that doesn't cater to our general intellect. Sigh...

I don't get how it being "stressful" for new players is a real excuse :/ They really do seem to think most of us have never played a mmo before (some haven't, but still), even for new people, it's not that hard to learn a job. The way I see it, they should just add the job how it's meant to be played, if a player finds it too "stressful", then don't play the job, it's simple.
Not to be "that guy", but I'd rather have some complex jobs and such. Sure, it might turn off some players from playing as those, but the ones who actually do play it, you'd know they'd be good at it. Maybe then we wouldn't see a horde of people playing a job poorly, looking at you, brds who don't sing...ever or mnks who don't move lol I kind of hope nin is more complex than the other jobs, doubt it, seeing as how they pretty much all play the same with minor differences. Not trying to call people out, but bad people playing a good job can give the job a bad reputation :/

Then I expect dancer's dances to work exactly like bard.
To be honest, the songs that bards play doesn't make sense to me. Okay, you have a progress bar that fills up as you play the song, so shouldn't the effect be active while you play...not after you play? Say I get past that and I believe that other players gets the refreshing effects after listening to the song. So why can you dictate when it ends for other players? Suppose I accept that it's magical considering the songs use up mana. But is it magical songs or just plain magic? It seems more magic than song considering I'm exerting effort with mana while /not/ singing songs so is the singing part actually required or not?

Why do OP think we don't get a dancer class in the future?
Is there somewhere infos about it?

Dancer would be nice as a healer because they'll be frontline healers which is something different; however, I do see some problems with a dancer healer because many AOE attacks like in garuda extreme do target healers so they might be very dangerous to use in certain battles, but the benefit this game has is that deadly frontline attacks can be avoided unlike in other games so they have a even bigger chance of making an appearance. Final Fantasy XI almost had the perfect concept in mind for how a dancer should work, the reason why dancers were discouraged from doing there intended role is because in that game frontline healers were unrealistic due to the high volume of deadly attacks, and no clear role identifier like this game has FF11 also has one of the percent skill setup that could work for the class/job.
1.) Curing Waltz (Basic Cure)
2.) Healing Waltz (Esuna)
3.) Drain Samba (Regen based on hits on mobs)

If Sqaure made a complex job most players would look up online strategies and tactics for that job and learn how to use it.
