So I want to say some time around June I decided to stop playing FFXIV.

Last night as I popped in to say his to old FC mates I was listening to them and got really excited so bought a 60 day game card and joined back up.

Since then in the maybe 5hrs I've been sitting at the PC in that time frame I've been able to play maybe 20-30min.

I keep getting 90k'ed and then Error 2002.

Asked FC mates and they had me check my speed....uploading at 6.4 which they say is plenty.

They then directly had me ping the server we play on. Got all four response they said I should, the lowest was 62 with an average of 64. More than enough they said.

Yet I still get both the errors.

They say it's Level3's fault, bad routing something or other

Waiting for a FATE for Atma weapon and I cast 6 Fires on an ice elemental.....20 seconds later it dies.

It's apparently not anything on my end so I've just paid for 60 days of game time I apparently can't use.

Just for the heck of it did you try restarting all your network equipment, just to try something?

There is not nearly enough info in the OP to help diagnose the problem.

Well, at least the following information is missing:
Country you're playing from
tracert data towards datacenter you're playing on
ping data towards datacenter you're playing on
ping data towards google for comparison (for any packet loss check)
any programs used to play FF14? VPN or tunneling?

Also note other programs you might be running at the same time. If you're streaming video or torrenting something at the same time as playing, you might 90k because the game detects too high packet loss and forces you to disconnect (anti-cheating measures).

USA, Ping to DataCenter was 72 average, to Google was 38 average, no idea what tracert data is, no other programs running to play the game or other things even open besides a Chrome window and TS

Some US isp have been reported to throttle FF14. Welcome to net neutrality. So your connection may be awesome and ff14 would be bad. On the bug forums some people have reported having to pay an extra premium from there provider.

Well that suddenly makes SOOOOO much more sense then.

When I moved to FL the only thing in this area is Comcast and anyone that knows THAT name knows how bad they are on throttling things.

Running on Comcast here, no issues. Though I'm in the northeast and on the PS4.
