Dream sequence outta nowhere!

One thing introduced in the latter half of Version 1 which I think would be fun to introduce again was the unexpected, funny/scary dream sequences.

They weren't included in the patch notes, but after you passed certain land marks (completed a specific hildibrand quest, shut down the satellite uplink in whatever Castrum that was etc) then you had a chance of logging in to a dream sequence or a cut scene.

It was something that jarred you out of your routine. Really took you into the world.

Imagine, a week or two after you down Thornmarch (Hard) you log in, your character wakes up to find a moogle floating over his head, threatening or apologising or whatever.

Yes, Legacy Users have dreams when they log out in their inn room since 2.0. It's unlikely that non-legacy users will ever have it. But we can only hope for 3.0.

I'd fully support this, though I'd like a way to use inn bed options in a house bed, I rather log off in my house than a random inn

Yes, making player-owned beds an interactable item would be great. Though this would limit the cutscenes to dreams only. Can't wake up to a CS of Hildibrand's shining smile if he's glitching through the wardrobe by the side of your bed.

Actually the Hildibrand thing from 1.0 wasn't a dream. We woke up to find him and Nashu in our room but when we woke up we saw Nashu first in a sleepiness then BAM its Hildibrand lookin silly and made us fall out of our bed lol. But that was part of the questline.

The only dream we had was that really creepy one where when we logged in we were in Mor Dhona & all of our friends and allies around us were dead and vanishing, Dalamud was huge in the sky & we fell to our knees in horror while Nael Van Darnus approached us from behind weapon drawn. There was a pause then he thrusted it forward, it cut to black & you heard a thud. You then wake up on the floor of the Inn startled, you get up shake it off then you're in the game.

*sigh* that was so awesome ^_^

We used to have 'dreams' in 1.# that would hint at a free item 'under the pillow'. Then we'd have story related dream cutscenes if we were progressed far enough in the story. Then there was the Hildibrand quests. Such fun we had hecking the bed. In 2.0, not so much.
