its a bad thing because once people get their nexus, many, if not most, are not coming back. short-lived incentives that don't keep people in pvp is why we no longer the b2b queues. when frontlines launched, many people just came to get their glamour or a few pvp sets, or saw how long the grind for wolf marks was going to take and then they left and never came back. the frontlines frenzy lasted all of about 2-3 weeks on my data center and then flatlined. you don't build a pvp community by bringing in people who are in it for the short-term.you build a pvp community by providing ONLY incentives that affects the pvp content (wolf marks, pvp gear, etc) so those people are inclined to stay for the long term and not just doing pvp for a few days to get a pve wep. its bad enough this is a strong pve game. the last thing we need is SE making pvp content just a revolving door for pve'rs who have no intentions of staying in pvp after a few days.
Many, if not the majority of people had already stopped doing PvP, this is the reality of the situation. Personally I stopped because the matches were getting extremely tedious and boring, wholly due to healer heavy groups. Did you ever play as BRD against that kind of stuff? Go try it and let me know how it goes, if you're not comatose from boredom. The "long term rewards" you desire aren't there to begin with. You are quite literally complaining about them giving people a reason to come back. I'm in that boat as a moderately experienced PvP player (lvl 27), and I will certainly be playing more PvP in the next few weeks than I was before 2.38, would you rather I didn't come back at all? Your reasoning does not make much sense. There will be new maps, and probably more adjustments in 2.4, which will re-invigorate things. Until people get bored or tired of the grind again, which is quite a natural cycle.

which is why we are in the north american forums discussing north american server problems. you seem to be new to the discussion as many people in here have complained for months about our 1-2 even 5 hour frontlines wait times. we not only have garbage pvp populations, but we also have lop-sided gc populations which causes the gc's that win most the time to have to wait hours for frontlines pops while the losing gcs may have shorter times.
Yes but you are talking about the problem in game wide terms, not restricted to one region or server group. I'm quite aware of the issues, but you have way bigger problems with your PvP on NA servers than the healer nerf. The playerbase just isn't as interested in it as the JP server populations. Lopsided GC's are purely a player driven problem too, people see they are getting beaten (even only a few times) and jump ship to the "winning" GC. The effect tends to snowball, unless your server pop shows a bit of restraint. Here's the thing, people were doing this with healing classes too after figuring out how strong they could be. It was causing balance issues, plain and simple. There's also the fact that many people switched to Maelstrom purely for the Alied Notes glamour.

I don't know if it's cleric or this Nexus
It's not Nexus, that's for sure, last I checked they were available to all jobs, not exclusive to DPS and Tank jobs.
