i see it more of a problem that people are queueing in 30-40ilv gear (yes, this does happen quite often), or even as Thaumaturge (no not BLM), or even worse, havin both of those problems.
Just had to vent a bit, been a horrid day today in FLs.

FYI you can partecipate in FL with any job then change to your Nexus job in the last minute and get light for that

i was just thinking that it would be a sick joke for them to "fix" queues by making pvp events always give bonus lights, the way random pve instances get them throughout the day.
Or they could just nerf healers in pvp.

Random question: Does queuing as WHM or tank get you in faster? I've been queuing as BLM on Excalibur and haven't gotten into Frontlines for days now, usually have timer get up to 100-200 minutes before I give up.
This guy's hilarious.
No it does not. Check your language setting for queues, make sure it isn't on anything but English by mistake.

Some thoughts occur to me in light of this. I've pretty much given up on upgrading my relic for the time since I can't seem to get past ATMA. I know people who have worse luck grinding 100 hrs after the 3rd and not seeing another ever again. So I have a Book of Spades. I have a WHM leveled with proper cross class skills, and I would be willing to transfer to Flames because that's the last GC I need to raise company rank in. My problem at the moment is how PvP rank is GC specific, not character specific. I was Maelstrom when Frontlines got introduced, and I got to rank 22. I really do not want to start all over again, and if the Flames are set on just loosing, then I don't see me ranking up fast at all with them. Perhaps if SE allowed PvP rank to be character specific, it would give more life to PvP. Then people with friends on other GCs could switch over to that one and play PvP with their friends, and still retain the rank they worked hard for. Maybe that would fix the problem?

They should make it character specific. It makes no sense at all, that it's based purley on your GC.
Ranking up gives you access to higher PVP gear and more action points (skill points essentially), so it's almost the same as leveling a class to a job in PVE. Yet, you would NEVER lose your level 50 WHM status if you decided to switch from Maelstrom to Flames. So, why is PVP treated this way?
I would say is because of giving more people reason to grind? Some people have motivation or incentive to grind if switch GC and aim to stay in the GC to play with friends so they will most of time do not mind re-level.
But maybe this idea form because was implemented when many player still PVP, which also mean right now and until 2.4, will remain to look 'dead' until 2.4 patch gives new PVP incentive?
I am not sure all the jumping ship from Flames could be turned into a positive by saying it makes people grind. I want equal chance of winning no matter what guild I am, not feeling handicapped with 1 or 2 healers in a full allience. There needs to be an incentive such as a gill bonus for such required jobs, like when people do duty finder.I would say is because of giving more people reason to grind?
