I know I already posted on this but I've asked around in my FC and people are having the same issues as us, I mean I know this is a console but come on SE fix this crap already. This issue is already making it so people aren't even able to play jobs like monk and war that rely on combos unplayable. As it stands for myself I feel as if my game play as just stopped.

The issue is one which only your ISP can resolve, take it up with them.

SE has no control over which route your isp chooses to have you use to reach their servers.

This is not ISP related, it's all PS3. Wether or not it's PSN or the PS3 itself not connecting correctly, I don't know, although PSN seems to be only needed when starting the log-in client, after that I got booted out of PSN and was still playing without dc (pre-patch). But it's definetly not ISP. And it's also not wifi related since the wifi issue on PS3 is already well known and just by direct wiring it resolves. My boyfriend plays on wifi PC (we live together), we rebooted everything and even re-customized the wired PS3 to the internet, and the problem persists.
If you look closely, all these reports are from PS3 users and just after 2.38.
So nope, not ISP. Anyhow if we could have an answer from SE and who actually knows what's going on, thank you.

This is definitely NOT our ISP. I play on Ps3 and and i ABSOLUTELY NEVER have lag of any kind. Nor do I ever d/c do to 90k. I play frontlines regularly and I can certainly tell you this problem sure as hell STARTED RIGHT AFTER patch 2.38 as I never d/c to 90k while in frontlies, LET ALONE 3 TIMES IN THE SAME MATCH! I play casting classes and my main is Scholar and my casts have been interrupted multiple times by hotbar lag. Not inly that but my crafting is also effected by this. I play ever single day and I am absolutely certain this lag started right after this poorly implemented patch. And this is happening on Pc too as my static members are on Pc and live in Ohio and I Maryland so we bothe have different ISP's but having the same problems right after 2.38 patch on different systems. No not a coincidence.

Please search through Raists posts and you will see that all of this falls back on an issue caused between intermediary networks between canada and the usa causing packet loss during network intensive periods.

Only your ISP can resolve which route to the SE servers your connection takes.

    ones of note include
This... clear and simple. Your ISP has...

Again, not talking about your local ISP. Look at...

Sorry if you don't find the factual information...

As being discussed in the other thread you posted...

If they are connecting to the Canadian Data...

Guess you missed that it is just 3 ISP's betwixt...

Exactly the point that has been made over and...

in a lot of cases it isn't your ISP that is...
SE has nothing to do with the infrastructure and...

need to diagnose your route to the servers in...

In many (if not most) cases it is an issue...

And all the people thinking like this is why it...

Experiencing some major lag spikes anywhere in the game since the newest patch.
    Crafting/Gathering/Instances you name it.
I've contacted my ISP and there was nothing they could do about it. :-)

    Edit:
I asked if they did anything recently to my connection, but no.

Request the issue be escalated to tier 3 support, your ISP can do everything to resolve this, granted you speak to the correct person.

Have to consider a few things that also happened around the release of 2.38 that can be impacting internet traffic--things like new game releases (Destiny, among others), football season opened up (increased streaming from sports packages and such), seasonal change-over in the retail markets (increased online retail traffic, special sales and whatnot). Oh yeah... and a lot of people resubbed, they had a couple of free-to-play weekends promoting the game, they've been showing it at conventions, etc.---basically, a lot of people have recently hopped into the game either again or as new players.

The point is internet traffic is on the cusp of another big surge, and it is happening on multiple fronts. All of this traffic can and often does concentrate into identifiable corridors that can impact the route we are taking to the servers in Canada (hello, New York, Chicago, LA, Austin, Dallas, Atlanta, etc.). This could very well be in part due to this congestion. As I am typing this at lunch time, worldwide, internet traffic is at 36% above average (mostly centered on the UK): http://www.akamai.com/html/technology/dataviz1.html . Here is a visual for you.. a map of the TWC connectivity issues that will update periodically throughout the day:

    Source: http://downdetector.com/status/time-warner-cable

The region peaking changes throughout the day... but it follows a pattern that can be easily seen if one just bothers to look. Right now it is showing the usual kerfuffle up around Ohio and the North East hot spots (note that most of the exchanges that get us into Canada are centralized in the North East--it's like almost a 3:1 ratio that go through NY/NJ/ME area over other areas). You can find similar maps and data for other services at the downdetector site:
    http://downdetector.com/companies

As for those using multiple systems in the same location---quick question: Did you set up port forwarding? If so, try undoing it and letting your router's NAT manage the traffic. Port Forwarding is typically NOT needed for games in general (haven't had to do it for a single online game since I started in 1996--only ever used it for remote desktop)--that is more a test to bypass security that may be interfering with data flow, it should not be the solution because by assigning port traffic to be pushed to just one device (like the PS3), you may be loosing data intended for the other system (like the PC). This can periodically send your connection into a wait state for disconnect. If this resolved an issue for you at one time, that is a sign that your security is causing a problem that needs to be corrected (like a firewall and/or other routing setings). You may want to look into the security options for your router--some of them clamp down a bit too much and can cause issues. Your ISP or their partners could also be choking things down because of the increased flow of data for multiple systems that they are flagging as suspicious or otherwise less important traffic (in which case, this would in fact be something that your ISP would need to address).

So... don't just patently discount the idea that your stability issues may be related to problems in route. You really should flush it out--it may not be all of your problems, but there is a very strong chance it could be partially at fault.
