Mhuah hah hah hah ha hah hah hah!!! Thanks for pointing this out. So many players screaming for "challenge" and "randomness" and spew their vitriol hate over "scripted" fights. And yet - when they are given "random", very few wants to touch it.The main reason people don't like it so much, is because, while it still is scripted per say, there is more randomness involved than most fights. Or maybe that is a poor way to put it... A better way might be to say there is more personal responsibility than most fights in this game.

So true! The thing is, it's not really all that random but... yea it feels more random than all the other fights. Most things that "choose" people... At least things that are annoying choosing people if not just more things in general... I mean, Titan has those plumes but, ya you just stack and all run away, it doesn't matter who it was placed on, unlike this fight.
Personally I like Ramuh. All the other primals I can just turn my brain off and run like a scared animal from stuff. :P Ramuh I actually have to kind of think of where I'm running to, lest I kill everyone.

I'm not sure I understand what's random about Ramuh EX?
It's always the same sequence. And the sequence is even shorter than what most scripted fights are like.

Yea, it just feels random, because the person chosen for the mechanic actually has to make a choice... Unlike others, where they just run for their life and try to save themselves... Now that same person has to decide where to go to not kill someone... or sometimes, who they can hit with lightning and not kill.
I think that's why this fight is called random. The randomness is waaay more noticeable, but maybe it's actually in reality just the same.

It's not random at all though, it's scripted. The only actual random thing about it is where the orbs drop, that's it really. But T7 has renauds sawn in random places, T6 has bulbs in random places, T9 has dragons in random places. But that's not enough to call a fight random.
The reason people can't do this is because it requires quick, clear, and concise communication. Something that people can have difficulty doing especially without the aid of a voice communication system/server like TS, mumble, vent etc.

I've tried doing random PF groups for Ramuh and unless they use voice chat it becomes futile quite quickly to get anything done. People don't understand how much coordination T6-T9 and ramuh extreme are designed for. The original turns were no where near this level with the exception of Coil Turn 5.
Well, I think it is more of a trust issue for Ramuh EX. As long as order has been lay out it is not bad as long as everyone follow the direction on who break chao, tether and bait. Even then sometime accident happen and having healer lb 3 can be a godsend.I've tried doing random PF groups for Ramuh and unless they use voice chat it becomes futile quite quickly to get anything done. Again, simple concept but hard to execute. It's like how firefighter in Ulduar looks simple as heck on video until people step in and actually try to do it. The closest I've gotten to killing Ramuh is 10%, and then after that it's like every partial learning group (which are far and few between) can barely make it past the transition with the adds. That 10% run was using Team Speak.
My memory might be fuzzy but i dont recall there being as much coordination required doing firefighter, they only thing iirc is to huddle together on new fire spawns and then stacking it. Make no mistake i dont call it an easy fight(ive done it when it was top content) but i would argue that it does not require as much coordination as Ramuh. Id even go as far as saying it would be easier to do firefighter without voice comms than Ramuh.Again, simple concept but hard to execute.
