Playing existing account on new/different PS3?

Hello all, I'm in need of a bit of help, if anyone has any solutions it'd be much appreciated.

I'm trying to come back to FFXIV after a few months' absence and I'm playing on a new (that is, different) PS3 than what I originally installed on. I bought a hard copy of the game to install, and it installed properly but it wouldn't let me proceed without putting in the promotion code. I did, but obviously, it had already been used on my old PS3 so it didn't work.

I already bought this game. I'm planning on renewing my subscription as soon as I can once this clears up. I'm not buying this game again.

Will it recognize that I already own the game if I log in on the PSN under the same account I used for the first PS3? I am using a different account on this new console but I am going to try and log into my old PSN account as soon as I track down the info (hopefully the two are linked?)

Basically, what are the procedures and such put in place so a FFXIV player can install and play the game, off of a hard copy, on a new console (or computer) WITHOUT buying the game a second time?

your game is linked to your PSN user, set up your user on the new ps3 and voila you can play on it.
