I guess I didn't explain myself well in this thread.
Patch 2.28 released a feature that lets us click aetherytes in the world map to teleport to it, at that time when you zoomed out a map the aetheryte icon had a visual priority over all other surrounding icons, as example this is Central Thanalan right now (see image) the aetheryte icon will show above all other icons, but as of patch 2.38 all aetheryte icons in all zones lost visual priority, now all nearby icons overlap with the aetheryte icon making it impossible to click them unless we zoom in (see image)(in this screenshot the mailbox and chocobo icons will overlap with the aetheryte, making it impossible to click the aetheryte unless we zoom in)
Note that this change did not affect Central Thanalan - Black Brush Station aetheryte, you can use it as a comparison with other maps to reproduce this issue.
I hope this is reverted so the aetherytes in all maps behave like the one in Central Thanalan.
To add the missing info to that template: It happens regardless of platforms, specs, time of the day, weather or any other external influence.Time: N/A
Frequency: Always
World name: Diabolos
Character name: Carmilla L'fanu
NPC name: Any open world aetheryte
Monster name: N/A
Class/Level: Black Mage / Lv.50
Party or solo: Any
In-game time:Any
Area and coordinates: Any open world aetheryte
Steps:
1. Open any world map (I'll use Upper La Noscea as an example)
2. Zoom out to the max or two~three sizes before max http://puu.sh/bDpzC/4d49139cd8.png / http://puu.sh/bDpBd/824b3db423.png
3. All icons will cover the Aetheryte icon, preventing quick teleport by clicking the icon unless we zoom in to a point where icons are separated.
This is a minor issue that I believe started with 2.38, but it forces me to keep zooming in and out when I'm farming fates and want to use an aetheryte, I believe there should be a sort of click-through so we can teleport even if the aetheryte icon is overlapping with others.
