    DPS for T8

So my raid has just started learning T8 and after reading about how tough the DPS check is in this turn, I'm wondering what kind of DPS we should be aiming for. I know that we need a minimum of 1650 DPS in order to pass the turn.

My raid's make up is: PLD, SCH, WHM, DRG, DRG, BLM, SMN and BRD.

    Thanks!

I dont get the question. So you know what Party Dps you need to pass the Turn. What you want to know then? The Setup is fine, 2drg´s isnt optimum but its okay

At this point dps should not be an issue, assuming everyone has been doing the bare minimum to acquire gear. If you all are hitting the enrage with 5 dps you have issues.

As long as every single DPS pull on the average of 350 at ilv 100, the turn should be passed easily.

Emphasis on easily as that will still give you a kill time of 9 and a half minutes, while the enrage is 11 minutes. You really want all your DPS to be doing at least 300, and your tank at doing at least 100 is what I would consider the base-line minimum. That will get you through 3 dreadnaughts and to a kill very close to the enrage timer. You should also be able to generate 4 bars of LB (so a LB1 and a LB3) if your on the lower end of the dps scale. Now, obviously if your doing more DPS then there is more room for error such as an accidental death, and even more dps allows you to push phases and skip the 3rd dreadnaught (which accelerates the kill even more). T8 is probably one of the better turns for pushing it to the max and not getting punished for it.

Don't worry about the DPS check yet. If you can get to the Atomic Ray enrage at the end, then worry about your DPS. There is a lot more to T8 than JUST your DPS.

And your setup is fine. Considering the ease of obtaining i110 weapons now, if you have a DPS problem, give it a week or two and you'll resolve through some easy-to-obtain upgrades.

1650 is needed if you skip the Dreadnaught + Mine Tower before Allagan Field. You need 1850 if you don't skip it and need to DPS the dread. (The higher DPS makes up for time spend killing the dread).

The biggest issue with T8 is Allagan Field. I've seen more people worry about that then the DPS check. Also, if your dps is losing by a small margin, you can get the SCH to throw buffs when they notice a down time between healing. SCH can switch and do buffs for about 6second max between going back to healing. You can also get the SCH to dps from the start of the fight until the first Dreadnaught to help out as well. (I wouldn't recommend having them DPS any further since your progressing atm.)

The DPS requirement was an issue for the "first clear" groups that were rushing through the content. Like this other guy said, you should be worried about Allagan Field. By the time you master that mechanic, you'll be done with the fight.

DPS is still an issue, but with 5 DPS you are probably going to struggle more with landmines and dreads than the atomic ray check.

As long as no one dies and you don't stack the boss, you should be fine.
