The latter part is only in the 8th derevation used for dreaming, otherwise used for illusion and the first kanji is a lyrical writing of something freezes .. Wouldnt it be more saying That Illusion of Freezing?

It actually says something along the lines of "Freezing Illusions" since the first half ("freezing" + particle) is just to describe what the Illusions part is all about.

IMO "Dreams of Ice" give off the same feeling. Dreams can be so good that you never want to wake up from them, so you've fallen into an illusion created by your mind that you're ultimately charmed by. If they froze over somehow, you can definitely never wake up again. Not that you'd want to wake up from such a wonderful dream.

Yeah of course it is more catchy

but I wonder more if there is some other meaning behind it. the FFXI expannsion, when translating the Japanese names literally made a lot of more sense Wings of the goddes actully was something like The warriors legends if I remember right.

SHiva better sounds sexy. I say Shiva should have a slight Hindu accent, nothing hardcore that we will have to replay the cut scenes to understand what she is saying. Ramuh sounded the way i expected because of that glorious beard and on top of that he pronounced the other primals name correctly.

The fact that Lady Iceheart is on the front of the art for patch 2.4 is a giveaway that shes Shiva (refers to own signature)

Yet Yoshi-P said a few months(?) ago that all our guesses (and at the time nearly everyone has thought of Iceheart being Shiva in human form) about Lady Iceheart were wrong. So unless they decided to change that, she's most certainly not Shiva herself.

Yeah...Yoshi says a lot of things tho, I wouldn't take anything he says or said at face value right now.... ^^

I see both of your points...

Ah well - it was a silly guess of mine that's all - guess we'll find out in a month or so...

I still think she somehow imbues herself with the power of a primal therefore becoming Shiva (which is unprecedented)
