Moogle Mog stuff returned by retainers

I've received 3 iLVL 75 Moogle weapons. 2 of the THM and one SCH. While these are great, and I'm certainly not looking a gift horse in the mouth, what the heck do I do with them except take up space in my retainer until I level them up to 50? Better yet, what does one do with two THM devices if you can't sell them? I have to store them in separate retainers because they are unique. Just good for company seals?

If you can raise your desynthesis level high enough (in whichever class is able to desynth them), you'll be able to desynth them for a chance at some Moogle Demimateria which can be used for crafting ilvl95 Mog weapons, or can be sold for a reasonable sum.

is there a best suited Average Item Level for it? like i don't think anything past AIL80 will improve retrieval rates for rare items. but i would imagine there is an Average Item Level range best suited to increase the retrieval rate of certain items. would that be the case here? or is a "best suited" AIL for certain items completely bunk?

i ask because i send out 4 retainers on Quick Venture's everyday. with the amount of time i play each day it ends up being around a combined total of around 12~24 Quick Ventures per day. but the ONLY time i have ever gotten anything good was with a low level Retainer. like all my retainers have brought me back IL70 PvP items from Quick Venture's. but ever since they went past lv20 i haven't gotten anything good at all. (aside from gil pieces that is) not a single rare item for like a couple of months now. lol :/

I have 4 retainers, 3 of which have a class. Yeah, yeah, I know, I should make the 4th one something. One DOW (ARCHER) iLVL 67, one DOM (CNJ) iLVL 65, one DOL (MIN) iLVL 50 and enough gathering points to match. They all bring back the same crap and good stuff. Apparently, if I get to iLVL 70, I can get a blue bird (unconfirmed) with the DOW or DOM, but I have to get them equipped. This is easy up to iLVL 55, but you have to make serious sacrifice of your own stuff for higher iLVL's, because most stuff is specific to the job (e.g. Bard). The retainer can't take on the job, so you can't throw your old Bard clothes on it. I would have an iLVL 90 retainer for WHM and BRD if that was the case. By design, SE?

I always send them on Quick Ventures, because you roll the dice every time you send them anyway, so why roll the dice and wait 18 hours for it to return?

This is easy up to iLVL 55, but you have to make serious sacrifice of your own stuff for higher iLVL's, because most stuff is specific to the job (e.g. Bard).

Allagan equipment from first coil is equippable to base jobs and is very easy to get. I have an i91 GLD retainer because he has my hand me downs from when I upgraded to Noct and a Wave Shamshir that I farmed for him.

You can just farm coil 1and LotA/ST to get your retainers to i90. Also accessories aren't job locked so it's only the gear you have to deal with. Nor do you have to have the proper stats. I put my extra casting rings on my tank retainer. It still works.

You took the words I didn't write out of my mouth. I'm working on right side stuff for my three mains (WAR, BRD, WHM) before I start stripping off the rings, etc. I did farm HM primals for weapons, so one carries Ifrit's bow and the other has Garuda's Wile. I'm actually going to stick Scylla's robe of healing on my CNJ to boost her as well. Sometimes, I just forget.

i farmed the new dungeons through Expert Roulette to gear up a ARC retainer. but keep a list so you know when one of the dungeons is not needed anymore. this is also nice if you have a tank or healer retainer. the queue times are quick for those roles. the gear in there is IL80. so afterwards all you need is one more ring. Mythology ring will do. it's just the route i took. but farming LotA would probably be faster. depending on the time of day that is.
