    Square-Enix replied to my 406 error!

    I have had this response from Square-Enix today at 10:38AM (GMT+1)

    Dear Customer,

    Thank you for contacting the Square Enix Support Centre.


    Following upi from our recent email conversation regarding the error 406 you reported,

    We would like to ask you to please ensure that there are enough funds in the account the card belongs to and please send us an image of the card to sel-id@square-enix.com to be able to whitelist it and for you to use it.

    We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

    Umm, tbh if I got this id be asking support if it was legit. Im not giving people a picture of my credit/debit card (will all the info they need on it to get access to my bank account).

    It is 100% real. I read this yesterday and thought it was fake, however after calling support i got an email asking the same thing. The email quoted in this thread is not the FULL email though, the actual email states, and i quote:

    Dear XXXX,

    Thank you for contacting the Square Enix Support Centre.


    We are contacting you regarding your issues when trying to register a payment method.

    Please send us a picture of the card to sel-id@square-enix.com mentioning ticket number XXXXXX, as we require this for ownership verification purposes.

    IMPORTANT: We only need the name and last four digits on the card - please black out all other information as we cannot store our customers' credit card information for security reasons. Any pictures showing the full card face will be immediatly deleted from our systems and we would have to re-request an appropriate picture.

    In addition, we would like you to make sure that you have sufficient funds on your account.

    We apologise for the inconvenience.

    It was a response to my email to them, it had my previous email underneath and that was the reply also had the correct subject field They asked for me to cover the first 12 digits on my card, so they can just see the name on card + last 4 digits. So the account is safe either way.
