Massive FPS loss after maint

So after patching the game after the last maintenance, I was greeted by superfluous amounts of lag. My game usually runs with 0 problems 99% of the time, so to have fps loss this glaring came as a huge surprise to me. Any idea what my problem could be? To my knowledge, nothing got installed/uninstalled in the span of time between when I last logged and my game being patched. I'm kind of at a loss here.

Now I'm having another issue where when I logged in, the hotbars all reset to their default. What is going on?
And all my gear sets are gone
