[Suggestion] Point alotment change (alternative to stat saving)

A good alternative to saving stats, tho stat saving is preferable, would be to make re-assigning stats take stats all the way down to base, returning all points at once.

Re-assignment should be allowed more often than the current 1-hr. Maybe 30 Minutes or less. (preferably 0hrs 0mins 0secs)

When adding points to stats, instead of having to make multiple clicks to ad a stat past 40 points (adding 2+ points to equal 1 attribute point increase), instead, make the click take all the points required to add 1, making it take much less clicks to add stats back after re-assigning. pushing the button 4 times to make 1 attribute point is annoying and time consuming, and makes my mouse unhappy.

It currently takes forever and a day to reassign stats in order to play a different class effectively. I know there are plans for stat saving at some point in the future, but this will also help a lot and may be easier to implement.

Please no, that would be adding a bandage to a bad design, not fixing the problem. Changing it to a stat-profile per class is the way to go, and hopefully we will see it implemented sooner than later.

As to your other suggestion about the system subtracting the points needed to increase the stat by one I do like, and agree it would be a nice addition.

I did mention it was an alternative..

Kinda like how removing collisions was an easier temp fix to adding jump, which would take longer.

Current stat allocation works against the armory system and is more than an annoyance!

Definitely like the idea of the game just knowing how many points needed to progress a given stat and taking the appropriate number of attribute points per click.

Also it would be nice if you could take points out of a given stat while you are applying them, in case you put a point in the wrong place. As is if you mess up you need to cancel out and start over.

How, besides the fact that it takes so long to reset points towards a different class, which is why i suggested all points be returned at once instead of just some, and that it take less clicks to add attribute points.

The whole idea behind the armory system is that you can become whatever class you want, just by changing your weapon. Not by changing your weapon *and* your stats.

Granted, it's ridiculous that Cidolphus Sternpipe is equally adept in arcane and martial arts, but that's the system. When old Cid wants to be a mage, he should be a mage, no questions asked. When he wants to be a lancer, he should be one and that as soon as he equips his lance. That's the armory system. At least, that's what it's supposed to be like. Changing stats every time you change your weapon and class is a drag.

Bottom line is the system needs to be streamlined. Your idea is good, but I like Loth's better.

Well as I said in the op already, I want stat saving. This will just probably be faster to implement while they work on actual stat saving, and will help out a lot. Especially when people want to run as a mage job when they're already fully attributed to melee fighter. I myself want to have to deal with hours of re-assigned. The change that can be done faster and help out would be good until the perma fix comes.
