Alternative to Personal Housing... Farms!

All I'm asking for is a place to farm so I don't have to keep asking my FC... I feel like a mooch even though I've donated far more than I've received goods wise.

If you ever played FFXI, Adoulin introduced Mog Garden. It's essentially what OP described more or less, and... it doesn't cost anything to have one, just need to do quest to unlock it.

And I agree though, XI's Mog Garden should be carried over to XIV. Kinda stupid that players need to sacrifice alot just trying to grow their farm which already involves delicate task compared with XI's gardening system.

I only wanted a personal house for the use of a garden. If I could use a garden without having to buy a house I would. I think making a single garden plot available to someone who purchases a FC private room would really help quell a lot of the rage happening at the moment.

I agree. The OP has definitely thought this out well and I love the idea.

However, it again would come down to server resources. Can they handle an instance for every character? (They'd have to calculate every character as a base) Would they be able to hand an instance for new incoming characters? If this would be an easier load to handle instead of releasing more wards, then this would definitely be the way to go. If it would take as much as personal housing with the same issues on server load then I don't think it would work.

I'm sincerely hoping the SE/the devs are at least looking at the forums and having an open mind to the suggestions that are being made.

I've got an FC house and personal room and, in terms of making an in-game home and decorating, those are sufficient.

But it would be nice to have a gardening spot of my own.

I really do not understand why people are attacking the OP. I completely agree with this as at least a large proportion of the people wanting houses want the just for the garden part. I cannot see what harm this idea would have other than reducing the cost of certain garden items on the market.

Rorichan when it comes to SE/Devs looking at the forum I've started to get the idea that Yoshi only looks at the Japanese one. We've had so many things on the English forums that any other game would have had a dev responce and theres been nothing. Things explode on the Japanese forum and suddenly Yoshi is all over it. Its a shame but I think we all need to learn Japanese .

Considering that the NA takes up third, if not half, of the player base ignoring us isn't exactly the smartest thing to do. But that's a different conversation in a different topic. :P
