I'm pretty sure what he's asking is they enable you to share your house with your Alt's on the same server, so they wouldn't really be locked out.Don't agree with this. If someone can spend the time earning the gil, fair play to them. Although I am not sure if a player can buy multiple houses on a single character. I would agree to a one house per character. Why should someone be locked out of content on a second character just because they accessed it on the first?
This just serves to help the limited space problems which' the greatest problem with Personal Housing I think.

All the same, it means that a person is limited to 1 garden then should they have 2 characters on the same server if this same person could afford a small house on both characters. Although it's not just about gardening, there is the vanity side, or even role-playing among other possible reasons.

Absolutely dislike this. I'd rather see the problem with ward space addressed than see people limited as to whether or not separate characters have separate houses. The RP community in this game IS pretty large, and there are valid reasons there - besides practical applications like gardening access - for wanting more than one house. If they give us enough housing space for everyone, including alts, there's really no concern about how many someone has. I mean, what if someone just wants to decorate multiple houses? Why shouldn't they be able to? So long as it's one per character, I see no problem with it. We just need more wards, ESPECIALLY on the high-population servers.
If you limit players to 1 personal house per account what would happen to players, like me, with multiple houses have happen to them :S? I don't want my hard earned gil to be taken![]()
Most likely you'll get the gil you spent on the extra house back.
Besides why would a player want more than 1 house beyond spamming gardening a mass production level?
The original plan was 1 Housing per character to begin with and 1 Housing per FC.
I have multiple characters with different styles :3
Regardless, it's rather easy to make money in this game and could have bought a medium instead of multiple smalls, those complaining that only the rich were able to buy houses are just lazy.
Those complaining about space, deal with it, you should have been online when the servers were up if you wanted the house. First come first served.

They scrapped plenty of things through development.
One of the big things they scrapped for Housing is the Tower System they announced that would have gone with House. It was originally going to be the way that makes Personal and FC Housing Unique being that the Towers provided different character buffs depending if it was a Personal Housing for FC Housing.
FC Housing Towers were going to be based on DoL, DoH, and small FC member style buffs separate from the FC normal buffs while Personal Housing Towers were going to provide Stat buffs and other personal character based benefits. There was also going to be a limit on Tower placements being that small housing would have allowed the lowest amount of Towers while Mansions would allow the Most amount to prevent players from gaining too much benefits from the Tower System.
Some players are just buying up houses then selling them. I don't know how unless they form a fc invite you in it and then transfer ownership to you. But they are sure doing it. Meaning what's to stop someone or a group of ppl buying up lots at 5 mil and then trying to sell them for 20mil cause no lots available? I support 1 house per account per server. Meaning up to 8 characters on one server can share the same house. I too play lotro and that's how it is there and it does in fact work. Nobody should be able to buy more than one house while we have such a huge shortage.
Was it ever stated that the housing being doubled in 2.4 was the end of it? Or are they going to continue adding more? The problem seems less about restricting people from buying more than one than it is about there being enough for everyone to even be able to buy.
