Some of us require multiple houses due to the restrictions SE has placed on us. For example gardening. We have run a 450-500 member fc since early release. We provide everything we can for our members since SE has restricted so much. So having 500 members who could not have personal houses and gardens we grow for them what majority of members require. lately for example food dye and feeding foods for chocobo as well as thavnarian onions. Foods for for that many people rquire a lot of space so we make alt guilds and raise our alt fc's and grow extra for them there. I myself have 8 houses 2 of them large. To be honest its not our fault se made it so restricted!! The personal housing was supposed to be released within a month after official release. then kept being pushed back due to server in inadequacies and under-estimating its player base. Once it did see how many players they had they tried to do a little at a time to save themselves money as a business instead of biting the bullet and accommodating the players wants and needs.

Well this issue should focus more on the availability of gardening instead of the limit on houses. Indoor planter suggest.

If anything it wouldn't do much. Those with multiple 50 characters (not just classes on one character) that could afford such on two characters are probably dual (multi) boxing and this would not affect them since they have multiple accounts. Remember a dual boxer earns twice the money from kills and quests and dungeons (if they can manage them), over a normal single account.

Bit of a late reply to this, but that's definitely an erroneous assumption, haha. Just because it's possible and efficient to level all jobs on one character definitely doesn't mean that everyone prefers to do it. I know at least four members of my FC have the full 8 characters on our accounts, while another is sitting at 6 or 7, and plenty of others have several alts as well. You'd be surprised how many people just prefer to have some variation.

I think you misunderstood me.

I'm talking about dual boxers. Those with multiple accounts played at the same time (aka they play their own groups by controlling 2-4 characters). It doesn't have anything to do with single or multiple characters.

That not the issue, I'd ask SE to upgrade their server and introduce more small houses only wards. or instanced houses for all I care.

I concur. Silly a single person can own multiple houses on a server. I've seen this happen & it's very harmful to the already limited amount of space.

Don't agree with this. If someone can spend the time earning the gil, fair play to them. Although I am not sure if a player can buy multiple houses on a single character. I would agree to a one house per character. Why should someone be locked out of content on a second character just because they accessed it on the first?
