Doubt you're going to revert it now (you should though), so do this SE & fast (within the week max):

Add a minimum of 4 more Wards right away.

Cut Personal Housing prices in half (reimburse 50% to whomever has already purchased a home since patch).

Seperate Private Wards from FC Wards entirely (reimburse in full to those who've bought into mixed Wards).

If there's enough demand, also spruce up the Goblet some more.

If anything, slash prices in half & reimburse.

If I had it my way we would've had an instanced, privatized home to ourselves that isn't part of a community ward whatsoever... folding them into the current layouts/neighborhoods is pretty weak IMHO.

I wish people understood this more. It's like the company can make decisions just by looking at the community complaining about personal housing and say, "oh, let's just install those 15 servers we have in the back and add those wards. Should only take a few days" (when in reality they have to order the servers, have them delivered, installed, configured and tested. Could take months).

If anyone understood game development, they'd understand that things change and timelines change. Now this doesn't excuse the fact he said it would be different, that's just Yoshi-P's bad and he should have been a bit more tight lipped about it.

Yoshi did apologize for the confusing statement he made last year.

But yeah, people really need to understand more on server development. Even if you buy the equipment, it's pointless if you can't stretch 100% full capacity out of them, specially without issues... I use to work as a freelance artist before for a medium sized company and it took the company over a year to fully install their new server. At one point it seems to work, next thing you know there are bugs. *sigh*

I like how you pulled this fact out of thin air. Do you mean to suggest every instance in the game is on a separate machine? Every. Single. One?

Well they are about to add 8 more wards and double the existing homes in all so that will at least double give you 3 times more room to purchase in 2.4

Yeah... but if you really read the last few lines in his reply to all the complaints it really sounds like they will "try" to get the extra wards in 2.4, but not exactly a promise either.
