Personal Housing - how long till i lose my property due to absence

Since personal housing is basically the same as Free company housing, im wondering if the same time frame applies to personal housing as well

in case of emergency and i cant log on for a month i wanted to ask to be safe

also what applies to this if so, can i just take a step onto the property or would i have to physically enter the house?

i dont want to lose my house because i just spent every penny i had on this thing >_>

I believe you actually have to not step onto the property in 35 days in order for the land to be lost. Keep in mind that this system was originally meant for FCs and 35 days without anyone in your FC using your house normally meant it was either dead or you simply didn't need a house in the first place.

While 35 days does seem a little harsher for an individual player, you are taking away real estate from an FC that could potentially use it.

Another reason why this is a bad idea to share districts.

I also don't wanna pay $13-$15 a mo to make sure my house is still there.
I may get sick of this game for a bit or I'm struggling financially.
I say 3 months is a good spot. There's way too many faults with what they did
for personal housing. Utter screw-a-roo if you ask me.

And herein lies a terrible problem with the way they implemented personal housing. It should have been its own seperate thing that was player based instead of server based. By that I would liken it to the FFXI mog house style. Each player gets their own house that is theirs for the life of the character. You can have options to invite people to "knock" on someones house to ask for entry.

Of all the choices they have made, I cant defend this one...

Only 90 days? This summer I couldn't come in Eorzea for almost 3 months. There shouldn't be a limit at all.

In the real world, if I own a house, I can travel to another country for a month or a year, but the property of the house is still mine.
In my opinion, this should be the same for Eorzea: if I manage to gather the 80.000.000+ gil necessary to buy the house I want and then for circumstances beyond one's control I'm forced to stay away from Eorzea for weeks or months, if when I return I discover my hard-earned house doesn't belong to me anymore... Well, that wouldn't be nice!

Could we have an official clarification from the community reps on this matter?

35 days , go into the house to be safe.

And pray you dont have a hardware failure you cant afford to fix for several months.

Uh, I don't think they implemented that system, but held off for now. I mean they ARE going to do it, but they've held off for now.

I'll try to find the post, but someone else will likely find it before me since i'm busy with some other things.
