It would give us another way to get rid of our failed HQ attempts. We could turn some in for marks maybe.

I was more thinking like this:

As a rank 50 Alchemist I choose to Specialize in it. So now I get to wear the pointy hat and can make Batraal Glue.

As a rank 50 Goldsmith I can make regular goldsmith stuff so I would only have access to normal crafted gear and the common recipes that everyone has access to.
