Allow us to hide one's own name~

Dear SE,

I'd more than love to see an option that allows me to toggle off my own name.
It is of great annoyance to me as it floats in the middle of the screen serving no purpose as I am quite familiar with the name I chose in the beginning. And while I don't like the 'other games like [insert current popular MMO here] have that too, so it's a must!' excuse, I'd like to see it realised in XIV. /names doesn't cut it.

The main menu and the ability bar vanish too and allow for a better view.
Oh, and while you're at it, let us target PCs by clicking on their crest too, now that they are bigger.

Sometimes I can't remember who I am and it sure is helpful then...no wait...

There *is* a valid reason to have your name up - to remind you you have a bazaar. But if you forget that's your failing. Yes SE< let us turn it off, I keep on targetting myself.

It's nice seeing the icons I have going on sometimes, but meh. I'd really like to toggle my name off if I want.

Well, it's not like you couldn't put the bazaar icon somwhere else on screen. Next to the UI buttons, or the buff window.
And then again, nobody forces you to toggle it off.

I am fine with my name being viewable by me. I mean I am used to it after playing so many MMO's for years it really does not bother me.

I do understand your point of view, but being used to something and change something for the better are two different things. Especially if you can choose. And maybe I'm wrong, but don't MMOs have that nowadays?
It's not like this aggro icon that was forced upon us (yes, MMOs nowadays probably have that too lol).

I like this idea, make it a toggle on/off and nobody can complain. Bet someone still would though ^^
