Hello

The problem with that discussion is mainly on Japanese and when translated to english it hardly makes sense and you can make out bits and come up with any conclusion. The idea is to build our own threat and to get attention on the matter from our side as well. I think its great that the PS4 community of players are able to use Voice chat with no fees or no installation of any other program. I will like for all platforms to be able to communicate via Voice Chat, this would help raids such as: the Binding Coil of bahamut, The Second Coil of bahamut, trials such as titan Extreme, the Striking Tree Extreme, the Whorleater Extreme and many other fights that required lots of communications that could be limited for a PC user as well as a Ps3 user by having to type in between moving around and other game mechanics.
Having to rely on 3rd party tools for communication is a problem at times. Players use different programs to play the game such as skype, teamSpeak 3, Ventrilo and even free ones such as mumble. Keep in mind that some people prefer some programs more than the others for many reasons. So having one built in voice chat would not be such a bad idea. maybe even for a fee, they are charging a small fee for extra retainers I personally would use my money for Voice Chat over another retainer anytime.
