They mentioned currently Nexus will be slow progress since it is still in new release stage. As time in FF14 goes by the amount of points gained from performing content to obtain a Nexus will increase making it easier to obtain a Nexus.

However, i don't think they mentioned how much increase it was nor the time it takes for the Nexus points to start increasing.
