Please add the ability to share a personal house with friends.

...Especially when you think that if multiple people are sharing a personal house, that means less houses will be needed to make people happy due to people rooming together etc. Even just having 2 people sharing the majority of houses via marriage would cut down on the amount of plots needed dramatically....

TBH, It is exactly what a FC House does...^^;
Why not simply suggest make every FC hosues becomes the master's personal house? And let everyone share their houses to others as they like?
Then no more FC hosues, all houses are personal house, no more complaints about putting personal and fc houses in the same place as well.

The main issue is that people want a house to share with others usually. And a lot of the options that are available are a bit sad to keep only to one person... I mean... Personal House Chocobo stable... what's the point besides color changing? No one else can get an achievement off of your chocobo and if you're not around no one else can train your chocobo, so what's the point of that for personal housing? And the Garden plot thing is exactly why I never touched Gardens in my FC, I was waiting for my own house for that... but it would be nice to have more choice than all or nothing, because house crashers can be really annoying, I encountered some just today, a friend of mine and I are neighbours and these bored guys just crashed and acted like nuisances... our houses are open so we can share with each other the house because we can't otherwise, even if we're on each others friend lists.

No, FC houses are fine, but what we are wanting is completely different.
People don't seem to realize I am in an FC. I have an FC house. It is the biggest house in one of the lavender bed wards. Does it satisfy me? No, not at all. It's nice, but I have absolutely no control over how the house is decorated, nor would anyone else unless they own the FC. I can't choose what goes in or around it, or how it looks, or anything at all! All I have is a private chamber that doesn't do anything but look pretty (and I can't even share the one or two interactive things in there with anybody!). And no I'm not going to leave the FC I'm in and make my own, because that would be abandoning 30+ people, some real life friends, that I talk to in FC chat on a daily basis.

I want my own house that I can share with my boyfriend (later to be in game marriage partner) and even my best friend who plays the game with me, if possible, that is completely separate from our FC. Just somewhere that ALL THREE OF US can teleport to, hang out, and make it as awesome a house as possible. I don't want to spend 4 million+ gil just to have another private chamber that also has a garden plot I'll barely use and maybe a stable with only my chocobo in it. Just thinking about that makes me feel lonely. :/

I know there's others out there who would want this. It can't really be that hard to do...

My GF and I are considering coming back to FFXIV and was hoping the housing would allow us to play together.

we originally stopped playing before FC housing was added and we don't have an FC to play with, usually just stick together.

2.4 is supposed to have the eternal bonding system and if that doesn't allowed shared housing privileges... *flips the table*

I'm on hyperion as well and there's lots of nice people in mine with a big house, if you two do come back and want some people to play with hit me up.

living in a room you cannot share in a house that is controlled by someone else and inhabited by multiple people isn't the same as buying and sharing a house between your loved one and making your own little home together. The FC house and extended room is a really nice feature, I'm glad it's available, but its certainly not a replacement for a co-owned private house. It's just a real shame that those already in a FC cannot manipulate the system to use the FC system to walk around the one house per person restriction. So I really hope they allow for private housing to be shared. It may even free up some of the properties for other players.

So why doesn't your "marriage partner" join the same fc as you, are they choosing thier FC over you? Doesn't sound like a very solid "marriage" to me.
