Please add the ability to share a personal house with friends.

Now we need linkshell housing! Come on they need to get the other housing situations right before another option.

This isn't "another option". This is an option that should have been there to begin with.

I can't tell if some of you guys just like to exaggerate or if my post isn't clear enough. Asking to share a personal house with at least one other person is not an outrageous demand, especially in a game that is not only adding a marriage system, but is facing the problem of not having enough houses.

People share houses by their choice=less houses are needed.

i see your point and agree with you. but i also see things from all sides of the argument an also agree with them. its a bad situation all together. trying to see things from others perspectives helps me and others to understand the situation better. your thoughts on sharing with a friend or married couple i agree on completely.

Has 'marriage' been instituted in the game? I can't believe that I'm reading the pros and cons of an 'open' relationship in an MMO!

I agree with the friends thing. The completely open or completely closed thing took me by surprise. I actually thought that they would institute an allow list, not unlike a ACL in a router. Each of us is designated by some code (you are # 2173427134) and our house could have a maximum list similar to that of the friend's list or black list. I wonder if they are taking that one under advisement.

It's pretty logical to want to be able to have a shared house with your eternal bond partner. It's also, potentially, one less player that will camp for a housing plot.

They better be working on this as well, next to the whole housing mess they created.

I try to see things from multiple perspectives, but I can't see any visible downside to this from a player perspective, and I can't think of any reason this would be bad for developers either unless it's just harder to do than I think it is. Being able to share a house with friends or even just your eventual marriage partner has no negatives and I can't imagine why anyone would be against it.

My FC is pretty small - around 60 people.
It has a small cottage, which, under most circumstances, is enough.

One 8 slot garden, though. For 60 people. This is the sole reason why I bought a private house, plus the mini-aetheryte and all the other crap that drains gil.
I wasn't planning on using it 24/7/365, but have my friends come over and plant when I wasn't.

SMH. Give us a housing whitelist, instead of the idiotic all or nothing option.

Edit: Free Companies can set permissions, which makes this even more reprehensible. Just plain laziness on the part of the devs.

Should be able to set permissions off of your friends list, much in the way a FC house sets permissions for its members.
