Auto Translate bug?

I cant understand why , ever i restart the game the autotranslate database restart , that means that if i login for example on Limsa Lominsa i cant use on autotranslate "Coerthas" o "Gridania" since i have not been on that area since last login. I have to wait to someone says the the cuestion word on Auto-translate by chat or going to the area.

It seems very similar to how FFXI works. And iirc the reason given for not having a fully listed auto-translate database was to do with memory space (probably a PS2 limitation lol).
I can't really see that being the problem here. I'd like to see a decent explanation too. Perhaps it was a direct rip from FFXI code? Just a guess lol

According to SE, this is functioning properly.

According to me, (Auto-Translation Dictionary) is jacked up.

It needs to display all possible translations at all times, not erase some when it feels like it. And it always seems to be the translation I need that isnt there, like Camp Tranquil, even tho I am at camp tranquil and cant even pull it off of translate.

I said it in XI and will say it again in XIV... IT SUCKS!! should list the whole damn list every time and have better shortcut to find the term... dunno why this auto-translate system sucks so damn bad...

Would also be nice if you can edit the text file or the auto-translate to add your own into the list (if its stored locally)

I agree, the dictionary limitation can really be aggravating but it doesn't seem to be a bug. If they ever succeed in allowing access to the full dictionary at all times, I hope they also include options for customizing ones own dictionary like adding terms and such similar to using Microsoft's IME dictionary lists.
