The first would have been better, yes people would have been angry with personal housing being delayed yet again, but this whole situation could have been avoided.

Or the community could not freak the f*@! out about the limited release right now since more is coming within a month when they've upgraded their tech.

Besides, think of this more like a trial run so they can work out any issues that crop up with the few test subjects that get in now. Then they can try to iron out any problems before they release a much larger number of zones.

I was curious because the house situation is EXTREMELY different on Adamantoise, that is, there are entire wards still open of small houses. So, I made a character on the OP's server (Behemoth) to check the status of small houses. This is what I found:







It doens't look to me like the houses are all bought up yet.

Look on any Legacy server you won't find any small houses anywhere now. Some people missed out and thus the complaints.

FFXI didn't have houses they had, rooms which are basically the same as what we have with FC personal rooms.

Not to mention they were free. We also have Mog Gardens..finally. After all these years. (Also free) It's basically your own oasis. Would have REALLY loved this back then...but better late than never.

Not only can you garden there, but you have a pet crab, you can mine, do some botany, and fish in either the ocean or a little pond.

Aion had an auction system where people could bid for housing. The top tier palaces were only attainable by the minority. They also had plentiful amounts of houses (small), estates (medium) and mansions (large) for those willing to pay the rent. Everyone else got a free instanced studio. SE take notes.
