I'm not saying I'm particularly happy about how it turned out but that's how I see the situation, prices are too low and there aren't enough plots to go around. Hopefully doubling the wards in 2.4 helps a little but the demand will probably be higher still.

And seeing as there are people bummed out that they couldn't buy their house because they weren't awake when the servers went live the gil doesn't seem like a real issue.

Now if you want housing to stay in the hands of a small elite (but always ensure a plot was available for said elite), then yes, the prices were set a bit too low.

Yes actually many of us would rather have Mog Houses with planters then this travesty. The problem is more then just availability, it's the simple fact that there's no difference between FC housing and personal housing.

And there SHOULD be. If inn rooms had the ability to be decorated and have gardening inside you would not see so many disappointed people. And yes actually Moghouses ARE housing. They house your character, they affect your character, you can decorate the inside, you can garden, you can get rested, you can invite people in.

FFXI moghouses ARE Houses. In every sense of the word and it's application/definition.

Not only can you garden there, but you have a pet crab, you can mine, do some botany, and fish in either the ocean or a little pond.

It's not, the real issue is adding a total of roughly 180 houses per server. I mean really coming from a game that had issues of too many people and a total of 180 houses get released?
Mind boggling stupidity.
