I was, like so many others, really disappointed by the patch notes for 2.38. I feel as players we have really been let down by the development team.
A lot of players would have been satisfied with a customisable room, being able to train their chocobos somewhere like Bentbranch and a few pots to garden in. It feels as if you have taken a lazy approach to this. It would have been better to offer personal Inn rooms or allowed gardening in our own chambers. You managed Mog Houses in FFXI, taking that approach would have been better than this.
I appreciate that as players we don't have access to the information regarding player gil levels but I don't understand several things.
Firstly, what incentive is there now for any FC to buy or use a house together?
This feels yet another way to push friends apart. There is no content for FC's to work together on. I appreciate that there has been some talk of this coming but we have no solid information about this. Releasing some more information about that would be great. It's horrible seeing your players who have used your FC house, disappear into the wards with no reason to use the FC house you all worked hard to save for.
Why release the new housing wards at the max prices?
If you didn't want players to jump on the content that quickly, then just release the housing wards when you can make them open to all, not just to the few who happened to be on in the few hours after the news was released.
There are players who will be in a position to buy house after house using alts and secondary accounts. How do you police this? This will block other players and FCs.
What do players like me do when they want to buy personal housing in areas like the Mist?
How do you think it is reasonable to make players wait months and months for this and not provide content which is be fun and accessible for all?
