Land Prices Oversight - Plots in Wards 1-6

In the patch notes, it says:

* Pricing for new plots in the 1st through 6th wards will match the prices set in patch 2.38, and will gradually fall based on the devaluation process outlined above.

I assume this means when the patch hit, an unclaimed plot in wards 1-6 would be the same price as the equivalent plot in wards 7-8.

However from comments in the forums it seems unclaimed plots in wards 1-6 have already been depreciated and are much cheaper than the new plots added in 7-8. This does not match what the patch notes claimed, and I can't imagine that people who paid full price for a plot in wards 7-8 would be too happy about this.

Maybe they should have shopped around, I know I did.

The important word in the patch notes was "new plots", which in SE-speak means "plots that have just been released by their old owners", those start at maximum value and gradually depreciate. Plots that have never been bought would be a lot cheaper.

It's something that has been explained before but because it previously only mattered to people who were chasing after FC housing only a small group probably took note of it so they really could have done with adding a clarifying line or two.
